About this deal
Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel but it was his cellar master Eugene Laurent, who ran it with his wife, Mathilde Emilie Perrier. Treat your palate to a symphony of flavours, from the crispness of green apples to the richness of ripe peaches. He has spent his whole career at Laurent-Perrier, from humble beginnings as a cellar worker, before rising to become a supervisor, then head of the cellar.
The aromatic depth of the rosé pairs with marinated raw fish, grilled prawns, exotic dishes, Parma ham and red fruit desserts. Its bubbles are insistent, finely carved and add to the early sensations of lightness and energy yet also carry the wine long into a balanced, refined finish. Created in 1812, the success reached its zenith in the ’50s, thanks to Bernard de Nonancourt, one of the greatest individuals in modern Champagne.Bright salmon in colour, with orange tones, this wine is produced by the maceration method using Pinot Noirs from 10 Montagne de Reims villages, including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois and Tours-sur-Marne.
The name “Laurent-Perrier” was created by Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent, who combined the two family names after the House was expanded. Laurent-Perrier was the first House to offer the successive breakthrough Cuvées of Grand Siècle , Cuvée Rosé , Ultra Brut and Alexandra Rosé Millesimé. Recognised throughout the world since 1812, Laurent-Perrier abide by long-established traditions: respect for nature and wine and dedication to quality.A legendary, lively and elegant champagne, Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée is exquisitely balanced, with notes of vine peach and white fruits, with hints of honeysuckle, grapefruit and apricot flavours very present on the finish. Reviving what had been a late nineteenth century move to dry rather than the previous fashion for sweeter wine, Laurent-Perrier is champion of very dry Champagnes, evolving from wood to stainless steel in production, together with its hallmark art of blending component elements.
