So we changed our policy in 2020 and no longer list any barley malt vinegar products in our food information services, unless they’re labelled gluten free.I am really thankful for having started to photograph the ingredient labels to share on my blog, because it was then that I first read the ingredient label (I don’t recommend doing that!

At least two (maybe three) varieties of Boulder Canyon malt vinegar and sea salt chips are labeled gluten-free and/or erroneously contain the Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO) Certified Gluten-Free mark (i.With all the other "gluteny" things processed by that company, I have no doubt that some gluten floated over and into my batch.

Due to the fermentation process involved, the finished product only contains a trace amount of gluten which is well below the safe levels.Caboose will take care of packing breakable items and, in the event, there is damage during transit, the company will be responsible to replace the broken item. I am fairly sure that in the USA the FDA rules say if the product is made from a gluten ingredient (wheat, rye, barley) it cannot be labeled gluten-free here.
