Matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon barrels, then finished in PX and heavily charred oak casks, providing a rich layer of flavours. The lightly peated single malt has been matured exclusively in first fill bourbon casks, so there's a good dose of toffee among the more savoury seaside notes. Alongside Springbank and Glengyle, it is one of only three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown and draws its water from the nearby Crosshill Loch.
