Children are constantly reminded of the importance of things - their value, and how to care for them. However, when you only have a relationship with Jesus and not the Father or the Holy Spirit, you miss out on the fullness of God.Everything that we do, that is distinctly Christian in nature, comes from the fact that we are the children of God.

If God punished us every time we deserved it, we would be in a perpetual state of receiving retribution. We may familiar with the fact that the prodigal became a stranger but many don’t realize that the older brother was just as estranged. In Matthew 3:17 we hear the voice of God unexpectedly proclaim that “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.

This, can seem like an elementary topic or basic Christianity but if you don’t get this, then you don’t understand anything about Christianity. Some of us have never heard public affirmation from our earthly father and perhaps have only heard criticism. It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.
