Simply spray on ONYX Tyre Shine directly on clean, dry tyres or rubber trim and allow to self dry for the Ultimate High Gloss Deep Shine. Consisting of German super-polymers, deep conditioning agents, and a penetrating gloss, this unique gel concentrate achieves spectacular results without relying on drying butyls, alcohols or petroleum distillates.

No mention of it being appropriate for plastic trim, though, which is a shame because it’s one of our favourites for the tyres.

We tried out our tyre dressings on tyre walls, and also on black rubber trim on an older, 2001 car that had some greying trim to brighten up. Auto Finesse Gloss Tyre Dressing doesn’t drip as much as some others after you’ve sprayed it on, so is also fairly easy to apply neatly without a lot of mopping-up required. It faded quickly over a few days of routine driving, though, and didn’t last long at all on our sun-bleached trim. A single application seals and waterproofs the tyre wall leaving a matt to satin finish depending on the tyre. ONYX is formulated to condition and UV Protect with a highly concentrated blend of premium polysiloxane that achieves a truly spectacular shine and rejuvenated black finish.

This is great value for the amount of product you get, and it turns your rubber back to a deep, shiny-looking finish. However, it’s expensive, especially for the quantity that you get, and it doesn’t come with an applicator. It’s a shame that Autoglym specifies a foam applicator yet doesn’t include one, but even so this is one of the best products for outright shine on your tyres if a super-bright finish is what you’re after.It’s easy to layer on for a really shiny finish if you want it, or it gets your rubber back to a more understated, clean-looking finish with one application.
