Plus, there are no scarcity issues like with the official NSO N64 controller, which is definitely a good thing! The oppressively short cable on the standard controller (and cord in general) has been a thorn in my side ever since I dusted off my N64 during the pandemic.

The wireless version works perfectly, is easy to pair with the dongle and connects almost instantaneously every time you power it on. Not only did they help modernize my setup, but they also matched the Jungle Green color of my console perfectly. To cut to the chase, it’s not very good as a general controller, and its shape doesn’t exactly fit the hand as intended. This is my goal, to have dedicated wireless controllers for systems with more esoteric controller designs. On this particular piece, the left Z-button is slightly stiffer compared to the right one, meaning the quality control has been slacking. Don’t get me wrong I was a fan of the original but when the analog stick wore out the aftermarket for them wasn’t great. But I'm extremely suspicious to say the least when they say it's easier to be accurate with a Brawler than an OEM which is factually untrue, from my experience and testing.

That being said, the moment I held the Brawler64 in my hands (before even playing any games with it) I knew playing my N64 would never be the same again. Personally, I’ve replaced all of my PS4 and Wii U Pro controller analogue sticks with the Xbox One sticks because they have so much more grip.I love N64 either way but remarkably this has given it even more appeal now and I'm certain I'll be putting more time into it as a result. Each movement is very responsive and I did not feel any dead space with the joystick, making precise movements very easy. Very nice for switching between new controllers and the n64 controller although ypu do loose a little nistalga factor. Brawler 64 uses a similar stick that the GameCube had, which is pretty much the best standard for Nintendo sticks out there. You already love the Brawler64 Bluetooth for your switch games, and the ease of jumping into classic NSO games at the push of a button.
