The Armitage Shanks Small Dual Flush Finger Push Button is manufactured from strong chrome plates metal and is ideal for installation with concealed cisterns. If reolacing an old style button with two "half moons" you may need to remove (with a hacksaw) the half ring spacer on the large short flush actuator plate , as the new button is deeper than the old style one .

Unfortunately although of similar quality it wouldn't fit due to the push rod's being a different size (too long). The button features two metal elements, allowing for variable levels of the flush as desired by the user.

Trading Depot advises strongly against booking Tradesmen until after goods are safely received and checked for this exact reason. I guess availabilty of this replacement item is a bit scarce, as I could not find it that easily on the internet. I looked and looked just for the chrome push button cap and couldn't find any that are sold separately. This not a major issue, but disappointing as I only replaced the original system because of some corrosion - I may clean it up and refit it.

The whole thing is just not really strong enough to be able to operate in the way it's supposed to, if the syphon is a bit old (which it probably will be if you've got the point of replacing the button), then it'll take a little more effort than originally to flush and the button starts to get out of shape. Daughter had coped with only one side of her flush working - bought this and had her up and running with a decent flush very easily and quickly. It would have been nice to have the other two as spares as these are the ''weakest link'' with these type of products.

That and the ratchets arent strong enough, so the rods slide up and push the button caps off, and that's if you managed to get them to stay on in the right pposition in the first place.
