About this deal

Rhino has its own 3Dconnexion driver, meaning the SpaceMouse also works in Rhino without 3DxWare installed. It is designed to help engineers and computer-aided design professionals derive the most productivity and efficiency from their software. Being a 3D Navigator + a mini keyboard, the “Enterprise” model has the best potential to aide productivity. CAD controllers allow the operator to manipulate multiple aspects of a 3D model that classic controls just can’t replicate (like rotating, increasing and decreasing scale, translating, etc). Since the other software we use also has its own driver, I dont want to install 3DxWare, which has its own issues, mainly not handling switching between software well, losing focus and switching modes.

The full-colour LCD provides visual feedback on the function keys, navigation setting status and workflow applets ensuring quick access to important information without interrupting your workflow. The convenient Ctrl, Shift, Alt and Esc keys allow you to simultaneously navigate your 3D model while accessing special application functionality or editing capabilities.

there's not really a need for all those directional inputs, and the lack of a firm 'grasp' on the mouse means you cant have the same fast precision as with a propper mouse. mice for CAD are preferred because traditional keyboards and mice can’t interact with virtual 3D models at the same efficiency. With a small, high performance universal receiver, USB hub and stylish travel case, it goes wherever you need to be.

With MOI3D though, since it’s mostly mouse driven, my left hand could stay on the 3D mouse and it’s really nice to work with. I think the best option would be the “enterprise” flagship product that has all the buttons around that you can assign all your shortcuts to as Aaron has.

That cornerstone of a PC system is the most important part of the PC system as concerns what’s in the chassis, which might surprise you, but it’s definitely the devices you use to interact with a PC which are absolutely top dog. So I plugged mine in (from work) and couldn't get it to work and just gave up without too much playing around with the settings and forgot all about the idea. mice are the preferred tools for designers in many industries because they greatly improve user comfort and productivity. SpaceMouse® Pro Wireless offers professional 3D navigation, advanced ergonomic design, reliable connectivity via Bluetooth, a high-performance Universal Receiver, or cable, providing up to one month of battery life. The proprietary drivers have not been updated since 2014 and require potentially unsafe hacks to make them work, consider using the open source drivers.

With the support of 3D Input devices from 3Dconnexion we can now seamlessly create, review, and evaluate 3D models on 3D Creator (3DEXPERIENCE® platform) while also creating organic shapes and complex surfaces with unparalelled speed.I’m thinking the nunchuck acts the mouse using the stick, maybe the ir pointer when theres a sensor bar available. This mode is similar to Target Camera mode, but it simulates grabbing the object in the viewport with the 3D mouse knob. Now everything is up and running and every supported application should be able to use the 3D Mouse. This is because professionals in these sectors need human interface devices to manipulate and navigate computer-generated 3D imagery.

The two-handed approach is a literal term, as it allows the user to operate a 3D mouse in one hand, and a traditional mouse in the other. However, the SpaceMouse does the bulk of the work in 3D applications and, thus, minimisises the use of the standard when you are in the middle of your work. You can set up menu commands to be activated on screen but to me it’s just easier to hit a shortcut key.
