The story kept my attention, and there were parts that were well written and made me want more of Jack Widow. The three stories can be quite heavy to hold because they are not three separate books but 1 big book. Tasked with saving Kara, a woman whose witness protection cover is blown, Widow faces off against a menacing cultist biker gang.As Widow peels back layers of conspiracy, he stands on the razor's edge between law and vigilantism. have read most if not all of the jack widow stories and have enjoyed them all there's some gruesome scenes in this one not for the faint of heart but maybe we're all tainted from gilligan's island and hogan's heroes maybe i was eating yellow squash and grilled chicken thighs when the heads rolled? A late-night stroll down the mostly abandoned Route 66 in Arizona is nearly the end of Widow as a pair of headlights approaches but instead of slowing, the vehicle almost flattens him.
