his name who shall not be spoken is a certified douche and i just kept hoping he would, excuse me, ✨drop dead✨ just when you thought his character could not get any worse, BAM he gets 100 times worse. Why couldn't she trust readers to make up their own mind about Adam and Warner instead of spoon feeding us rubbish and trying to force us to feel a certain way? The thing that annoyed me most was that the Adam in the first two books and the novellas was a good guy — he was calm, reasonable, considerate, and caring but in this he was a completely different person.I've written enough essays about how much this series means to me so i'll stop being emo, but Juliette's growth and her resilience in this book is awe-inspiring. I loved the character development in this one, juliette is so much likeable now, she's such a powerful character. I do see what you mean about the ending, at the time I didn’t notice it so much but looking back I do see what you mean about it feeling a little rushed! When Warner walked in on the group talking about his dad and heard Adam say his dad’s real name and found out that they were brother’s was a crucial moment in Adam and Warner’s relationship. She can't even decide who she really loves, how is she supposed to make judgments affecting the whole nation?

Juliette had tried to explain everything about Warner and what she plans to do and Adam blows up about it. lol* He’s funny and serious at the same time and he cares so deeply for his friends that it’s sometimes even kind of painful to watch.An unmissable tale of lost empire, enemies-to-lovers romance, political intrigue and forbidden magic.
