I don’t feel tension between them, the smut didn’t do a thing for me (no tingles, no butterflies, nothing), and it’s moving so slow I’m just done. With a kick ass heroine and a determined as hell hero, HUNTER sucked me in from the very start, leaving me breathless on many occasions. Something that doesn’t revolve around sweaty skin and tangled silk sheets like he’d have me believe. Summers conveys the smallest part of the plot to the reader early on, but what her canny narrative tack would do is keep me on tenterhooks throughout.

I wish I could have seen more from Hunter’spoint of view more but the glimpses were just enough of a tease as to what he was not only thinking and feeling but also to what was happening on his end of the story. The sweep here was lazy, unbelievable, and completely against the grain of everything prior to the scene.So, this track I was led down had me wondering who would come out of this deadly cat and mouse game unscathed but while I was doing this, I still found time to swoon over him!

I also found myself intrigued by Decker and Torian and can't wait to learn more about them down the track.A man from the underworld who was not only sent to stop me from achieving my goal, but to end my life. Summers holding back the most juicy part I have to commend and totally worth waiting for, although there’s a scorching hot scenario which made its appearance sooner than expected. Lust and feelings converge, but trust will be the yield sign that steers whether they’ll both get what they want.

My brain was scrambling to catch up as the female character went through with her meticulously planned information gathering process. Raised on a secluded retreat for women, she knows a lot about emotional upheaval and very little about men. Furthermore, I wouldn’t learn the female character’s real name (nope, I’m not going to spill the beans) until well after discovering her goal. It was different than what I have been reading but the characters relationship development wasn't believable to me. Reviews of books received for free or from publishers with the purpose of a review are in NO WAY influenced due to their "free" nature and are opinions entirely.Though in reality we see that he is there for Steph and he does what he can to get more involved in her life. It’s personal; it’s complicated and no-one will stop her because she is in control, she’s prepared and she’s good, I mean, very good! If you are a romantic suspense fan who loves blazing hot chemistry, an intense, passionate connection, along with mystery and intrigue…HUNTER should shoot right up to the top of your TBR! This was my first read from this author and while I did enjoy this book,I didn't connect with the heroine at all,yeah I get how she had to be with what happened and her trust issues, but she got on my nerves a bit how she didn't want any help whatsoever. Raw and thrilling, Hunter was a deeply mysterious but driven story and hooked me from beginning to end.
