About this deal

Our farm is an interactive, up-close adventure, where little ones are able to meet and greet a whole host of farmyard friends, including miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, pigs, sheep and guinea pigs.

We were told they mate for life and Parents take turn looking after the egg, both not being afraid to peck at anything that strays too close. Every element of the farm has been specially designed to give children a hands-on experience with the animals who live there – from exploring the pygmy goats’ walk-through home and grooming ponies to preparing food for the residents. For us, what made it such an enjoyable day was the range of animals you could see, the proximity of them but also the well thought out accommodation for the animals.Bikes and cycles are not allowed but scooties are, so bring your scooters and buggies and have water and snacks handy.

We visited Whipsnade yesterday on a cool autumn day and there were hundreds of others arriving at the same time as us, but the zoo is so big that it never felt in the least bit crowded. We have a huge array of sensory and physical play to delight children, including - for the first time - both water and sand play. There is a free bus that tours the park with regular bus stops along the way and there is a steam train (which you pay for) but, as our children are now teenagers, we felt comfortable just on foot.

We are trialing relaxed sessions for those with additional needs please see our accessibility page for further details and to book. The Lemurs were also jumping from one fence to another right in front of us in the Lemur walkthroughenclosure, which was so cool. During term time visitors can book more than one indoor soft play session but these cannot be consecutive. We took a pack up with us as we had read that food is not cheap in the zoo and we discovered there are many well laid out areas to picnic, with picnic benches and tables provided. Due to the overcrowding we do need to limit the pushcairs that are bought into the building and the staff have strict guildlines to stick to regarding this.

Sam was begging to be let out of his pushchair and proceeded to tackle every mini-hill he could find before finally attempting to climb everything his sister tried.Ella took off the minute we entered Hullabazoo and headed straight for the Zip Line to have a whirl.

Every one thought chuckled when Ay loudly exclaimed “OMG This is the biggest Chameleon I have ever seen :D.
