Personally, I think BT really should develop their own UI for the new box and forget about YouView and Humax completely, but I’m sure they’ll simply stick with YouView, along with the other Freeview based pay TV services I.To me, that looks like Humax are abandoning YouView in favour of the newer Freeview Play, as pretty much every other STB and TV manufacturer has done. Yes, there's access to streaming services like Netflix to get your 4K kicks from on the BT platform, but that's an additional subscription. What would be the compelling reasons to take their packages and the new STB, compared to subscribing directly to Now TV and BT sport and then streaming on the likes of Apple TV box? At first, only Premier League football matches will get the Atmos treatment, but other sports and potentially TV and movies will follow.
