Bringing out the big guns with a true classic of the cocktail cabinet, Monin’s Grenadine syrup barely needs an introduction. Whether as a long drink with tonic over ice, chilled on its own, or as a cocktail base, Cocchi Rosa ticks all the boxes. It’s excellent as a chilled aperitif, but its versatility as a cocktail ingredient is obvious from your first sip.

Light, sophisticated and brimming with flavour, Cocchi Americano Rosa is leading the way in the new style of aperitivo drinks. The long connection between the Royal Navy and rum can be traced back to 1655 and Vice-Admiral William Penn's expedition to the West Indies.

Giulio began producing quality aromatic-infused wines and, by the turn of the century, two in particular; Barolo Chinato and Aperitivo Americano, had become very popular across international markets. It is created by infusing red wine with a blend of herbs, fruits, and botanicals, including gentian, rose petals, and citrus peels. It’s brilliant red hues and subtly acidic flavour offers up both notes of warm vanilla and tart red berries in a way which can’t be replicated by any other product. The intense and natural flavour of the blackberry combines beautifully with so many other flavours that this Briottet Blackberry Cream liqueur will feel more than at home in your drinks cabinet. It has an Italian red wine base which is combined with natural botanicals including vanilla, ginger and rose petals.

In the late nineteenth century he moved to Asti, a small but lively town in the north west of Italy, not far from Torino. Bitter, sweet, spicy, fruity this is a must try for any drinks enthusiast who wants to stand out from the shadow of Aperol and Campari. Made in a similar way to Cocchi Americano, Rosa does however use a different base wine, the aromatic Brachetto, and enjoys a different recipe of botanicals including dried rose petals, vanilla and ginger. With botanicals such as of orange peel, gentian flowers, vanilla, saffron, rose petals and Chinchona, this is a versatile wine that can be used in many classic cocktails such as a Negroni or Manhattan. Aperitifs and digestifs par excellence, the Cocchi range is a taste of Piemonte's gastronomic history which dates back to the 1900s. Strawberries, roses and vanilla pods on the nose, with delicate spice of ginger and grapefruit zest on the palate and the bittersweet taste of gentian.Giulio Cocchi founded his business in the North Western Italian town of Asti in 1891 when, as a young pastry chef, he became fascinated with the pairing of food and wine. Aromatic spice – clove, mace and nutmeg, touch of vanilla pods, rose petals, sweet and bitter Seville orange zests, and a gentle oily sweetness. Produced using the same method and recipe that was originally created by Giulio Cocchi in 1891 the Americano is fantastic in a vesper Martini and makes a beautiful white Negroni when married with Suze and a citrus or floral gin. The name “Americano” is both due to the alcohol made bitter (“amaricato”) by the addition of herbs and spices and to the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda.
