The Berenstain Bears' New Baby, published in 1974, was the beginning of the First Time Books series. The Berenstains were also honored for their work in children's literature when they received the Ludington Award in 1989. Since then, more than 300 Berenstain Bears books have been published and more than 260 million copies have been sold. The Bear family goes to the beach, but before they can swim in the ocean there's a lot of work to be done. i don’t recollect this series (though aarini used to read loads of books from her children’s library – bookworm when she was a toddler).
