About this deal
I know some people don’t like that the book doesn’t make a great amount of sense (they way they go from one animal to another). Further books illustrated by Axel include Room on the Broom, Stick Man, Zog and The Smeds and the Smoos – all of which have been made into much-loved animated films by Magic Light Pictures. Animalphabet is an entertaining way for any toddler to discover new animals, whilst learning their ABC's too.
No missing or damaged pages, no tears, possible very minimal creasing, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins.
Embark on a vibrant voyage of discovery through the natural world in a Julia Donaldson book like no other. My 2 year old boy loves naming all the animals as we go through and he is a massive fan of this book in general.
Her other books include Room on the Broom, Stick Man and Zog, illustrated by Axel Scheffle r, The Hospital Dog , illustrated by Sara Ogilvie and the hugely successful What the Ladybird Heard adventures, illustrated by Lydia Monks. To be fair, the text is fairly simple - as I'm sure most A-Z books are - the real star here is the colourful artwork. Having grown up in Australia, she moved to London in 2003 and since then has brought her style and eye for beautiful design to album artwork, book covers, stationery and her own books Lucy Ladybird , Snail Mail and Animalphabet , a collaboration with Julia Donaldson. Her other books include The Hospital Dog illustrated by Sara Ogilvie, The Christmas Pine illustrated by Victoria Sandøy and the hugely successful What the Ladybird Heard adventures illustrated by Lydia Monks.Lovely interactive book with flaps and peep-through cut-out pages; an alphabet through animals, with a short sentence about each animal. Sharon has a passion for innovation, and her artwork and clever use of paper cutting encourage the reader to think differently about the pages they hold in their hands. It's fun to find the flaps, which fold out in different ways, making it a bit more interesting (though very little hands may need a bit of help here).
