About this deal

It’s honest and full of beautiful laugh-out-loud moments that actually had me snorting into its pages, the blunt truth of relationships, sex and dating just so refreshing to read instead of carefully constructed and pruned relationships you see in films. She then spent six years working as an editor, a relationship advisor, and general ‘agony aunt’ for a youth charity – helping young people with their relationships and mental health. Essentially my vagina had a Gandalf standing at the entrance, and he thought Milo’s dick was a fire demon. THERE WAS ORIGINALLY A LOT OF ITALICS AND STUFF BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE TRANSLATED AND IT'S NEARLY 3AM SO I DON'T WANT TO PUT IT IN RIGHT NOW, BUT ON MY BLOG IT WILL BE CORRECT) (P.

There is a sharp tension in It Only Happens in the Movies delineated exactly by its title: this book aims to critique and subvert romantic comedy tropes, even as it pursues a romance for its protagonist. I don’t think your honour has any correlation with how many times you’ve been penetrated or how many different things you’ve been penetrated with or any of this nonsense. It’s a hug to every reader out there that has read and stuck beside the Spinsters throughout the entire series and a thank you for being there with them. I loved this brilliantly-constructed book completely destroying movie clichés and filled with witty humour and absolute honesty regarding relationships. against the father who left you and doesn’t realize you quit the one thing that made you happy, then when can you?

I completely get not liking that your ex found a new girl; but that shouldn’t mean we tear her down? The third in The Bone Season septology with an epic storyline, it’s definitely going to be a favourite of mine out of the whole series. Overall, this was a perfect summer read and I definitely can't wait to read more books by Holly Bourne in the future. When her home life gets a little too much for her, she picks up a part-time job at the local cinema. One thing leads to another and now she's the star of his feminist zombie flick (the feminist bit was Audrey's idea). It’s Not Your Average Teenage Romance, but it also isn’t cynical or dismissive of the idea of teenage romance either. Holly Bourne worked as an editor and relationship advisor for a youth charity for six years before becoming a full-time author. Audrey was a character who at first I really liked and I really wanted to see her development and growth but this just got so, so annoying that I couldn't really stand her after a while.
