Idk if it’s just me but I found myself comparing a lot of components to the first ACOTAR book… although the world is very different. I think he swears, but unlike Lucin, which sounds melodious even shrieked, every word in Crow sounds guttural and angry. What I truly appreciated about the book was its remarkable writing technique, which ensured that I never experienced any sense of boredom or fatigue throughout the story. The town names of everything are confusing and as a middle aged woman there is no way I can actually make out all that smudged, tiny ink.

And I don’t even wanna touch on the whole love triangle situation because it infuriated me like nothing else I have ever experienced. Inhaltlich überzeugt das Buch umso mehr mit einer authentischen, individuellen und wahnsinnig spannenden Geschichte.It’s hinted throughout that her heritage isn’t what it seems and when it seemed to have become clear we then get another arc thrown into the mix which just took my head a little getting around. I have read all of Olivias books and many other fantasy romances and this by far has been my favourite read of the year. Honestly, I question his sanity because I don’t know how he can be even remotely interested in Fallon. Although our FMC was kind of obsessed over another guy in 60% of the book, which was confusing AF at the time.

I started this book mainly because of the narrator as she is one of my favorites but was very impressed by the story. FALLON WAS NOT my favorite main character… in fact, she might be one of my least favorite female MC’s ever. I also read several other smaller authors and have enjoyed them but have not been as invested in the story as I was this story. I have been in a reading slump for sometime and this, for some reason just hit all my buttons and just the right way.I love everything fae and almost every book that has to do with fae, but add in some shifters and we have a recipe to die for. I can completely understand why we didn’t dive straight into the action, we needed that backstory, those relationships set up. I glance from my grandfather to the commander, whose posture is as taut as a bow string and yet whose face ripples with nerves. It only just now started to start (which with how bored I already am is just too late in the book for me) The people she surrounds herself with, for the most part, either have an attitude toward her or are just plain mean or boring. I na pewno nie zgodzę się ze stwierdzeniem, że powieść jest podobna do Dworów, czy jakiejkolwiek innej książki, ponieważ mamy tutaj naprawdę ciekawie zarysowany świat, pełen niedostępnej dla większości osób magii, krwiożerczych bestii krążących w odmętach wodnych tuż pod stopami zwykłych mieszkańców, czy rozmaitych istot. I mean when he got her a coconut to eat she couldn’t break it herself so he started tearing off pieces and giving it to her so she wouldn’t starve. The ending left us at the perfect stopping spot but I'm anxiously dying for that next book, I have to know what happens next. We have politics, a war, magic, multiple supernatural creatures and more… (and all of them were well done).I really liked the main character Fallon I was immensely interested in her life and found myself up late at night with the thought of 'just one more chapter' at 3 in the morning! Speaking of love, I had no idea it was possible to absolutely love a character that isn’t even in the first half of the book.
