About this deal
Our knives could fulfill your daily kitchen task and make every cutting, slicing, mincing and chopping a joyful experience. Super strength steel offers a much sharper blade with twice the edge retention of German Steel Knives.
It can be used for mincing, slicing, and chopping vegetables, slicing meat, and disjointing large cuts. Traditionally a symbol of expertise in Japanese kitchens, the Kiritsuke is known for its versatility. Finished with a pakkawood handle, this durable knife is ideal for daily kitchen use and is an indispensable multi-purpose addition to your kitchen arsenal.
It is not only for a visual beauty, but also for strength in bending and breaking, and of course, with the high performance cutting edge core of VG-10 and Gingami No. We use card outers made from 70% recycled card and over 98% of our fill is made of recycled card on site. They are probably not the best Damascus steel knifes out there, but for a home chef who loves cooking, these are beyond expectation. The blade’s hand-made finish means there is very little stiction with watery or starchy items which is just as well as I found I had to reteach myself not to run my finger near the razor like edge.
If you face any issues during this process, feel free to contact us, and we will be glad to assist you. The idea behind the length of the blade is it allows the cook to cut large surfaces in long, smooth strokes. Only the middle layer acts as the cutting edge and it is made from VG-10, a high carbon steel for durability and ease of sharpening.
It’s also a good idea to check how long the blade retains its edge after use, as some knives are engineered to stay sharp longer than others. Powerful and versatile, our chef’s knife features an astonishingly sharp cutting edge that tapers to a precision tip. Rudis, the name of which you may have heard for the first time today, meant the sword of freedom for which every gladiator devoted their life.
