About this deal

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27UQ and the Gigabyte M28U are very similar overall, but the ASUS is slightly better for most people, as it has better ergonomics. I was holding out for the PG27UQX at first, but it still has no word on availability, a whole year after being announced, and will probably cost over two grand, so no thanks. The XG27UQ’s OSD is divided into seven sub-menus with many options for gaming, image adjustment, lighting effects and user preferences.

It allows for a good amount of ergonomic adjustments so that you can place the screen at your optimal viewing position, and its decent viewing angles make it easier to share content with others.NVIDIA G-SYNC COMPATIBLE READY With Adaptive Sync (G-SYNC compatible ready), the ROG Strix XG27UQ delivers a seamless, tear-free gaming experience by enabling VRR by default on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20-Series graphics cards. On the other hand, the LG has an OLED panel that can produce perfect blacks, making it better for dark rooms. The average contrast ratio of the screen was measured at 1138:1 out of the box which was good for an IPS-type panel. It has an outstanding SDR color gamut for viewing and creating content, but the contrast ratio is low, resulting in blacks that look gray in the dark.

The LG, on the other hand, has a faster refresh rate, a faster response time, and it supports HDMI 2. Clarified that the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UQR is an updated monitor that's similar, but isn't exactly like the XG27UQ in Variants. It is sometimes necessary for us to transfer your personal data to countries other than the UK, and these countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of the UK.The default color preset (”racing mode”), which the monitor is calibrated against, is very vivid and saturated. In the end, my position is more pragmatic, and I feel that you gotta be able to see how your stuff’s gonna look on the devices where it’ll actually be watched. ELMB is also available as an alternative to Adaptive-Sync, but it did nothing to improve motion resolution. The ASUS has better ergonomics, higher peak brightness in SDR and HDR, and even though its response time is slower, it has much less overshoot. I hope one day we’ll be able to load and apply an ICC/ICM profile computer-wide, instead of only being able to load a simple gamma curve on the GPU with third-party tools like DisplayCAL.

These include implementing the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and the UK international data transfer addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for international data transfers (UK Addendum) for transfers of personal data between us and each of our sub-processors, which requires all sub-processors to protect personal data they process from the UK in accordance with UK data protection laws.Gaming at 4K and 144FPS isn't strange to me, but doing so with this much quality is a big deal -- a huge step up from enthusiast-grade gaming monitors.

unless you scale down the resolution a lot, making the text super tiny, then its clear that the ASUS has better PPI. Better yet, if you want everything dialed up and to ensure beyond 144FPS, remember that Overwatch supports SLI. Digital Stream Compression (DSC) technology is an industry-wide compression standards that transports ultra-high definition video streams, at super high speeds (like 144Hz) with " no perceptible loss in visual quality".third party vendor, reseller, distributor, sub-contractor or partner for the supply of goods and services that you have requested if it is necessary for the performance of the contract. The Gaming menu has the GamePlus suite of enhancements, along with an Adaptive-Sync toggle, Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) and GameVisual with its eight picture modes. While some backlight glow / bleed still exists it is much more managed and within normal expectations.
