About this deal

which provides protection from UV rays at SPF30, although Catherine was more impressed with how dark it made her secret house.

The LittleLife Arc 2 doesn’t come cheap, however, if you travel a lot and often, it’s worth investing a bit more into a good quality lightweight cot. The great thing about the Littlelife Arc 2 is that it’s designed like a tent so your child is close to the ground at all times – and there's no chance of them falling out. At first I worried I was forcing the poles - the instructions tell you to use ‘gentle pressure’ which is difficult to gauge. For more spacious areas, and when your little one might be getting in and out of the cot themselves (I have heard of these being suitable for children up to two years old and perhaps even older), there are easy to use side entrances. That meant I needed quite a bit of room to assemble the cot and had to ensure my curious three-year-old Catherine was safely out of the way first. There is one opening on the front and one at the top, both of which can be zipped up with a breathable, anti-mosquito mesh cover. This lightweight travel cot can be put up in moments, with it's colour-coded poles, for a solid night’s sleep on a comfortable foam mattress. Using it on our most recent holiday, our 3 month old baby had no issues at all sleeping on a relatively hard floor on the mattress the cot came with.

After the first day of assembly, we found that it was only taking a few minutes to assemble, and it can easily be done with one person. and could be used both as a travel cot and an outdoor sunshade (with the addition of the sunshade option) this is when I started to feel that this cot may work for our travels. When it arrived, I couldn’t believe it was the travel cot – it didn’t feel heavy enough,’ said out tester Charlotte. The colour coded webbing and poles also made it very easy to identify which parts went to which place. No, I was concerned my children would be able to unzip the front panel and escape their sleeping quarters but there’s a very secure safety toggle to the outside of the zip.Once inserted, the ends of the poles are fixed in each of the four corners, causing the poles to bend and create the tent shape. During the summer it would make a great shady spot, but unfortunately our tester wasn’t sent the separate sunshade to try this out. When my older daughters were using it, we would open the side zip for them so that they could easily get in and out should they need to get up and use the bathroom.
