About this deal

The Nemesis MXVII-10K is named after Nemesis, the Greek goddess who enacts vengeance on those who succumb to hubris. As with all flywheelers you have to rev the blaster for a moment to spin up the flywheels before pulling the trigger or you get a very weak shot. Since you load the Nemesis in this way you would possibly expect the hopper to be fixed, but you can actually remove it. You will find four sling points; two in the front close to the barrel, one just in front of the trigger, and one at the back.

Recently, I've picked up nerf again and noticed that after a few shots (~3) it starts to slow down, and eventually just kinda farts the darts out. I'm used to Nerf blasters being silent or relatively 'clacky' experiences, this guy, when you prime the motor, it revs up like a small in hand vacuum.Blaster Barn is not affiliated with Hasbro®, Nerf®, Dart Zone®, BOOMCo®, Buzz Bee®, Zing®, Lanard®, Adventure Force®, Zuru®, Larami®, or Koosh® in any way. Loved this Keith Haring toy, it engrossed my 4 year old just as much as it fascinated me - hours of fun, and it looks so good too. Power up the motor and unleash a blistering blast of rounds at a velocity of 100 feet per second (30 meters per second). It makes for a fun in hand experience for the older set like myself but for the target demographic of real actual children, that weight could be a problem.

Quite frankly, it’s hard to trash something that already works, simply because you want to be able to load and fire ammo at obscene rates. Although the NERF Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K Blaster is a lot of fun, I wouldn't want to drop it on a hard surface. Nerf brand blasters, alternative-brands, modifications, community made designs, competitive wars, Humans vs. To load ammo into the hopper and you simply slide open up the top door and drop in a hundred balls (I still find that awesome…. I complained about the size of Khaos mags, so carrying these would be even worse, plus you can already load it quickly from dump pouches which mean you can carry much more ammo with you anyway. This high-capacity blaster holds 100 high-impact rounds, so Rival battlers have plenty of firepower at their fingertips! The other flywheel Rival, the Zeus, cannot use the rechargeable pack and so was really down compared to its big brothers, only managing 93 FPS. Also this blaster is full auto, which means that you can only get a single shot with a short pull on the trigger.

The aerodynamics and inconsistent muzzle velocities ensure too much erratic behavior from your shots. The hopper holds 100 Rival rounds, more than doubling the capacity of the Khaos (although the latter does use magazines). As you would expect, the results were almost identical to the Khaos, which essentially shares the same flywheel mechanism. The battery pack is stronger and lasts much longer than the D cell batteries, not to mention much cheaper in the long run.The Nemesis uses the same conveyor belt feeding system as the other Rival blasters, the Perses and the Prometheus, to pull rounds from the hopper into the barrel to shoot. The Nemesis is the second-most highest-capacity RIVAL blaster released, behind the Prometheus MXVIII-20K.
