So OP, I understand exactly where you're coming from, but try and remember all the good times, the happy memories that make you smile. I'm living away at uni and its quite hard talking to my friends about it because they think by avoiding anything Christmas related all together that everything will be fine and I know they're only trying to help but it makes things even harder as it's just masking everything I'm going to feel anyway. We used to all go to my Mum and Dads and there’d be 14-18 of us, my parents, my Mums siblings, my Nan cousins, the works.

After the initial shock had passed, came a grief so intense that it was overwhelming and often repressed. It didn’t feel real we knew you were gone but we were hoping for some sort of miracle but now we know you're in heaven. As you said I really just wanted to hide away and it’s such a strain being around other extended family. My doctor unhelfully I think said to me that people grieve until they get bored of grieving, I was thrown into my own crisis 3 months after she died as I received a cancer diagnosis and found that was all I could think about, rather than missing my mum so I don’t know if other than listening to you that I can help. Its very early but you will get past the anger, its totally normal and all part of the grieving process.
