About this deal

The Bluetooth standard used here supports multi-host Bluetooth, letting you connect two devices at once, saving squabbles between friends over who gets to play what. Woburn II hits high trebles cleanly, handles low bass with ease and has a clear, lifelike mid range. The black tolex with grey grill cloth and brass script logo parallels their Amp designs whilst fitting into any home space nicely. Use the app to switch between EQ presets, set up stereo or ambient mode and adjust the intensity of the LED lights on the top panel. With big sound and luscious looks, get incredible audio all the time with Marshall's superior Bluetooth speaker!

Big, bold and “all-the-way-to-11” loud, the Marshall Woburn II is a great-looking speaker that is well equipped for most musical styles, and ferocious when paired with your scuzzier tunes. The acoustic guitar strums and higher register percussion are delivered with excellent clarity and can be given some extra crunch and shimmer with the app's EQ and the treble knob.Fine-tune your music with the onboard controls or use the Marshall Bluetooth app to customise your listening experience and control the music you’re listening to. Nearly all Marshall products take their visual cues from amps, but the Marshall Woburn II Bluetooth looks like an actual guitar amp.

We tested the Woburn II Bluetooth with the bass and treble knobs in the middle and the app set to flat. On Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild," the kick drum loop receives enough high-mid presence in default mode for its attack to retain its punchiness, but dialing up the treble knob a bit gives it that extra sharp kick that we are used to hearing.

Use your Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet or computer to stream music directly to your speaker with no wires required. Jumping between audio sources is handled by a small round source selector button, and there’s a similar pause/play button on the other end of the control panel, past the dials. com is a leading authority on technology, delivering lab-based, independent reviews of the latest products and services.

and aptX technology, you can enjoy lossless wireless sound at up to 30 feet while maintaining connection. woofers, compacted within the sleek casing to ensure that the audio is as transparent and crisp as it can be. Other than that, you’ve got AUX In and AUX Out connections, and RCA connectivity if you’re looking to make the Woburn II part of a wider Hi-Fi system. A grey grille-pattern fabric covers the front speaker array, adorned with the recognisable Marshall badge in gold. Thankfully, even if that eardrum-melting output isn’t to your tastes, it’s hard to argue against the Woburn II’s sound.

Having a speaker that looks like this and could also play nicely with your own guitar shredding would be fantastic, and give a truly unique feature to brand’s Bluetooth line.

The five-band in-app EQ works in conjunction with the bass and treble knobs on the speaker itself, allowing you to fine-tune things to your ideal sound signature. Its wireless and wired connectivity, active noise-cancellation, and volume control make it the perfect choice for any audio enthusiast. But that’s not to say it’s unattractive – far from it, with its leather-look cabinet and gold accents, raised off the ground on four sturdy feet. The sound is complemented by the wooden cabinet construction, which helps provide a warm, natural tonality whilst the bass reflex system increases low end performance. If that's not enough, Marshall has also fitted a control panel on the top containing a trio of controls, one for bass, treble and finally volume. The largest speaker from Marshall, Woburn II features a robust sound and hits high trebles cleanly, handles low bass with ease and has a clear, lifelike mid range. Yes, it's the most expensive of the bunch, but I'd argue it isn't too expensive for the sound quality it delivers—a case I'm less inclined to make for its more affordable, but less overwhelmingly awesome, siblings. Since these Marshalls can pair via bluetooth, it might be easier to bluetooth from the TV to the speakers, and use the app to connect them as a stereo pair.
