Play time is largely dependant on how may Wizards are involved in the Epic Spell War, and how familiar everyone is with the rules, but a game with four people relatively knowledgeable with the cards can spend a fun and gloriously gory half hour to forty-five minutes. Even though we dropped the wizard voices about halfway through it was fun to try different voices and read the spells. This is all balanced by the fact that you choose to use specific cards that target the people you want to target, it's just a more limited possibility (and another element of tactical play).
