It is very quiet, does not add any noise to my pedal chain, and takes up very little room on my pedal board. This is a 2nd hand item and may not come with all originally included items and original accessories or software. I also like to crank the knobs and get it started self oscillating then dial the knob to make some crazy sounds. The enclosure is very nicely build, controls are simple, and even though the echo and feedback knobs are tiny, they are easy to reach and operate. Of course, there is a little beside noise in the signal, but this is always part of an analog delay.

Thankfully, that’s not the case with the Yellow Fall because Donner has kept it very simple when it comes to the control layout. Keep in mind that while Mooer may OEM the circuit board for Donner, Donner is cheaper because they use cheaper parts.Most cheaper analog delays are built around the PT2399 chip, a reverb/delay chip original designed for use in karaoke machines that's kind of halfway between old "bucket brigade" designs and DSP based designs. I bought the Yellow Fall delay and the Noise Killer as part of a BOGO free deal and I am extremely happy with the purchase of both pedals. Although on its own, this chip does provide longer delay times than the quite popular Bucket Brigade Device MN3007 analog chip, the PT2399 is still limited to a maximum of 340 ms. The Donner, when on, does add a little of that digital delay brightness, but I didn't even notice it until I moved it onto to my small practice board. As such, the Yellow Fall delay provides repeats that are clean but not-too-clean, making it a very vintage-y feeling and sounding pedal. Tiny adjustments are made to each string where applicable to adjust its length and ensure that the intonation is set just right.

An interesting fact is, that the delay time does not really increase while you turn the pot from 12 o’clock to 5 o’clock.
