Most of my friends and colleagues aren't a huge fan of the BDC line for some reason, but I really enjoy this one. It's because the others require a specific scenario and mood, this doesn't, this just covers everything. The drydown is where the Parfum truly shines, resolving into a creamy mix of Sandalwood, amberwood and a heavy dose of Iso E Super.

This is an all day scent, with moderate projection which in my opinion makes it the most versatile of the versatile. That fact shouldn’t be held against it negatively though, because it does exactly what it’s intended for and does it very well. So, woody, ambery goodness, with a ringing point of lavender plus lemon and pineapple, but is it really 'the best', 'amaaazing' etc.

Composed by Jacques Polge, the Creator of CHANEL Fragrances, BLEU DE CHANEL reveals itself in three acts. I love the more woody and mature character, the first day I wore it I felt so damn confident at the office. But if you bought it this year it for less than 169 €, then their is a chance it is fake, because they no longer allow bigger discounts.

The parfum version cuz I'd heard it was the darkest and creamiest, and wanted something unsimilar to Y EDP Intense I bought along with this (love that one). After sitting on my vanity for a few months it lost the creaminess and developed that "old generic cologne" harsh note that has become dominating in the opening, and it lost some other notes that were once prominent, it does smell quite different now. People keep simping the EDP, but that's only because they either didn't try the Parfum, or find it too expensive. Frags like this will out last all the blues and become one of those iconic all time greats when all the others dissapear in its vapour trail. I was a bit surprised but before getting the testers I also smelled them on test strips and the EdT and EdP really weren't as great as I remembered.

To complement the Eau de Toilette, a full range of shaving and body products is available for an intensified scent throughout the day. I can't believe that Artesimia received the lowest rating of all recognizable notes here on Fragrantica.
