This is similar to the stuff that the police use for glueing small components onto window panes and the like. It is very sticky and works perfectly on my many black appliances eg tv with fairy lights and printer bits etc.

Black Tack (black tac) is a product by Stanmart Film Services and is a high strength adhesive putty. I have found black sticky-tack to be very useful in filming as it is easier to hide that bright blue sticky-tack. Then, grab an additional piece of Blu Tack® and press it into the Blu Tack® in the carpet and pull it away to remove as much as possible.
