About this deal

However, next morning Morti has left the hotel but left a set of keys for Uncle Nat so they can use her cabin. This time the mystery involves an assassin, a weapon of unimaginable power, and a threat to the life of Harrison and and his Uncle Nat. Fans of Agatha Christie, or, more recently, Robin Stevens and Katherine Woodfine, should adore this mystery which makes a steam trail all of its own. Hal and Uncle Nat are travelling to see the Northern Lights during the festive season, and as the title may suggest, yup, there's an assassin aboot! The Arctic Railway Assassin can be read as a stand-alone novel, or enjoyed as part of the award-winning Adventures on Trains series written by M.

Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. Also, it was a bit violent, and there were some crude references not appropriate for a children's book. I have heard a rumour that this is the last book, and I can see why that rumour is going round after reading the book, but I hope there will be more books! The illustrations are gorgeous and there is so much action you can just fly through these so quickly. It is an easy, engaging read, but for me fell slightly flat by not really giving the reader a chance to solve the mystery first from clues in the story. A wonderful book in a great series which would excite the imaginations of many a young reader (and plenty of older ones too!

But first he has to take a plane to Sweden as uncle Nat is there to go to a special dinner with a friend, Morti, who is receiving a Nobel prize and she's asked Nat to go to the ceremony with her. This seems so much more fast paced than the previous books in the serious, perhaps because Hal is once again involved in a bit of detective work on board a train, but this time his Mum has had a premonition and it looks like it might come true. I do think this has become my new favourite though, there is real suspense and peril and the action builds throughout. My 10 year old recently got a children's Kindle with Kids+ Unlimited free for a year and the Adventures on Trains series was included - apart from this book. The Arctic Railway Assassin can be read as a stand-alone novel, or enjoyed as part of the award-winning Adventures on Trains series. It was a nice way to round of the series, bringing another family member in for Hal to find that he doesn't mind sharing these adventures with his uncle but also realising he has other family he can share the fun with. I loved how much their arrival let the book show how much Hal has grown in confidence since < a href = https://sifaelizabethreads.

Then again, there’s another, unexpected helper, who turns up on her hunch that something is seriously wrong for Hal and his uncle. Whilst waiting for the Narvik train he draws an orchestral group, one of the players sees and introduces herself. But our railway detectives clever intuition and smart ways of conclusion take the assassin by surprise in this most chilling adventure yet!Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example. But this is a perfectly pitched and delivered ending and a fitting way to showcase some of the best detective writing around. Whilst reading, the book was so quick paced and raring to go, I felt I had to read quick to keep up. I was lucky enough to see a story that Sam Sedgman put up saying that the book was on Netgalley and even luckier to be accepted by Macmillan publishing to read early so I can review!
