In this animated Disney version of Lewis Carroll's stories, young Alice (voiced by Kathryn Beaumont) is transported to the bizarre Wonderland after following the March Hare (Jerry Colonna) down a rabbit hole. Alice in Wonderland didn't have that effect at all, rather I was completely immersed from the first minute to the last, with the staging and characters feeling entirely real. Alice is a children's story in name only: it is best described as a semi-benign nightmare of epic proportions. We jump straight down that rabbit hole with Alice and find our way into all sorts of trouble including The Mad Hatter's Tea Parties, a crazy cheshire cat who keeps popping up everywhere and that pesky rabbit we just can't keep up with.

As a child, so I'm clearly demonstrating my nostalgia for Disney right now, I really enjoyed this film.
