The only things that I could say is that might be bad is that the wooden floors could get ruined if you hamster urinates on them, however this is not an issue for me as my hamster has one corner where he wees and keeps his cage tidy. Another thing is before purchasing is to make sure you have a big enough wheel already because the wheel that comes with it is too small for Syrians and even dwarfs because all the species require the same needs, this wasn’t a problem for me because I already have one and the wheel i received did have a massive crack in it. I love the wooden shelves, I do have a concern of them over time so I have personally laid some tiles on them in main eating areas etc.

Brilliant cage for our hamster, it's bigger than I thought it would be but that isn't a negative thing, fits lots of toys and nibbley things in there to keep him entertained and lots of room for him to run around.
