About this deal

The plunge saws can be used not only with Bosch guide rails, but also with many competitors' rails. All of the plunge saws can also be connected to a dust extractorto ensure a clean working environment. I’ll start this off by saying that I am a person partial to Makita products as I have faithfully used them for years. The Bosch plunge saws have a maximum cutting depth of 57 mm (the GKT 55 GCE) and 52 mm (the GKT 18V-52 GC). The models offer a bevel angle of between -1° and 47° for making mitre cuts. This means that undercutting the mitre angle is not a problem either. Compatible with Bosch guide rails for safe saw guidance, increased precision and faster working (also compatible with Festool, Makita and Mafell rails)

Maximum cordless cutting performance equal to a corded saw due to the new BITURBO brushless technology. Innovative BITURBO brushless motor for maximum cordless cutting performance equal to a 1620 W corded plunge saw (designed for maximum performance with a ProCore battery ≥ 5.5 Ah)Being one of the most expensive saws on this list, I was looking for superior build and quality. As expected, DeWalt definitely delivered and went above and beyond in all areas. Supplied in an L-Boxx 238 with 2x ProCORE 5.5Ah batteries, 1x GAL 1880 CV charger, 1x FSN 1600, a dust bag, hex key and 1x circular saw blade. Bosch GKT 18 V-52 GC+GCY 30-4 Professional 18 V Plunge Saw - Better than a corded plunge saw: Superior mobility with corded performance in the 18V category The Scheppach is comparable to the Bosch in terms of the price point, but you get a little more for your money if you are not concerned with names. Comes with a 1.6 m guide rail for safe saw guidance, increased precision and faster working (also compatible with Festool, Makita and Mafell rails)

Equipped with a brushless motor, the tool delivers high performance with reduced maintenance requirements, providing a longer lifespan and increased efficiency compared to traditional brushed motors.

Comes with an FSN 1400 guide rail kit for safe saw guidance, increased precision and faster working (also compatible with Festool, Makita and Mafell rails) The tools are equipped with speed preselection for sawing different materials. In the case of the cordless plunge circular saw, it is even possible to individually set the speed levels using the user interface (HMI) and a smartphone. For this category, I looked for a saw that had a good quality build as well as a price that wouldn’t break the bank. Even though I stated from the beginning that I was partial and personally owned multiple Makita products, but being unbiased, it is still clear that the Makita plunge saw is a perfect combination of the aforementioned criteria. Keep in mind, though, that the saw does not come with a guide rail, and you will have to buy this separately. Even given that, the price is still considerably lower than the most expensive saws. A very close and also great choice would be the Scheppach plunge saw. Best Budget Plunge Saw Also, I was very happy to see it come with two guide rails, a connecter bar, and a bag. Plus, the plunge depth is an impressive 55mm. With a soft start mechanism, the tool gradually increases its speed upon activation, preventing sudden jerks or movements that can affect the accuracy of the cut or potentially cause damage to the material.

It just feels good in the hand. With the slightly higher price point, I was expecting a little more power, but I was surprised to see the 1200-watt motor handled pretty much everything and was more than ample. The tool features a user-friendly variable speed control dial, allowing users to adjust the cutting speed to suit different materials and cutting requirements, providing precise and customized control. Our plunge saws are available in a wide range of scopes of delivery, whether as a single saw in the L-BOXX, in a set with a guide rail, or – in the case of the cordless plunge circular saw – with a guide rail, rechargeable batteries and a charger. As the second cheapest saw on this list, I was really pleased with the quality of the build as well as its cutting power.
