About this deal
Whilst the porridge is in the microwave, peel and dice half an apple and stir through the porridge before serving. Mix rolled oats, water, and milk in a bowl (use a large bowl to prevent spilling over when cooking). The bowl is too small for porridge, it bubbles up and ends up all over the microwave and dripping down the exterior of the bowl. If you had 80g of porridge, you can add 80g of self raising flour to it, along with an egg, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 50ml of milk and whisk it up to make pancake mixture.
Maybe it would be okay microwaving sweetcorn or other solid foods for every day cooking but not for porridge or anything else with liquid I would say.
