About this deal

In the original Blade Runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is seen drinking Johnnie Walker Black Label Blended Scotch Whisky out of his Cibi double old-fashion tumbler. I don’t know about you, but I have wanted one of those glasses since my eyes first caught site of it! Fortunately-although first introduced in 1972-the glass chosen by Ridley Scott and his set dressers-the Cini Boeri-designed “Cibi” double old-fashion tumbler – is still produced to this day; a testament to its timelessness.

The town is famous for crystal working and since its beginnings, the company has grown to become one of the world’s most respected international glass makers. This beautiful hand blown crystal whisky glass features in the original 1982 Blade Runner movie, and is famously used by Rick Deckard to drink JW Black Label whisky.

I have always been interested in people and their behaviour […] I like to get in tune with clients to find solutions and understand their needs and desires to try to provide them with the best possible”. These same glasses also make a star appearance in Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities – The Viewing episode. Among the flagship products by Arnolfo di Cambio, the Blade Runner Glass , designed by Cini Boeri and has become an icon in the world of design and cinema , stands out. Blade Runner is a movie that almost overloads the senses with its amazing scenery, script, and concept. Your eyes are constantly discovering new sights each time you watch it, but one image that stuck with me from the very first viewing was Deckard and the incredibly large and unusually shaped glass that he drank his whisky out of.

Personally, I don't mind a smaller glass; I just hope that the logo comes off with some solvent or other. Probably the coolest tumbler ever made, the CIBI tumbler, now more commonly known as Blade Runner whisky glasses, are in fact a ‘Double Old fashion glass’ produced by Arnolfo di Cambio, founded in Tuscany, Italy in 1963. Born in Milan and graduated from the Polytechnic in 1951, Cini Boeri was immediately noticed by her design teacher Giò Ponti, who encouraged her to paint. Designed by the famous Italian designer Cini Boeri, the CIBI collection is characterized by the X-shaped body, which not only gives movement but also allows an easy and firm grip.
