About this deal

Ember needs to leave Manhattan for Willow Hill, her small town. She inherited her grandmother’s Christmas tree farm. UPtv’s Christmas On Holly Lane airs on Saturday, November 19, at 9 p.m., Eastern. Encore showings include Tuesday, December 14, at 9 p.m., and Saturday, December 24, at 1 a.m., all times Eastern. Right off the bat, I want to say, if you're a fan of the seasonal Netflix and or Hallmark channel holiday movies? You'll probably love this. Enjoy those Vanessa Hudgens twin/look-alike/whatever swap concept films? This is for you. Added bonus if you also love The Great British Bake Off. And yet another bonus is this also manages to sprinkle in a small-town setting and vibe. THE HOLIDAY SWAP is doing pretty much everything, and anything, it possibly can. Sadly, though, this did not make my Grinchy heart grows any sizes bigger. Let me help,” Austin said, reaching out a hand just as Charlie grabbed on to Sam’s arms and hoisted herself up. Priya swatted gently at Charlie’s full skirt, trying to rid it of the pixie dust. I love this book! It is deliciously fun and wildly romantic, and the dual settings of a baking show set in LA and a family-run bakery in a small snowy town feels like Great British Bakeoff meets Gilmore Girls.… I wanted to befriend the twins, throttle the villains, fall in love with the heroes—and bake up some sourdough.”—Jennifer Robson, author of The Gown

the only little issues iʼve had with this were the writing style & the amount of times the twins fell on the floor 😂 the names kept repeating quite a lot of times in just a few sentences. meaning like “Cass done this and that and went there. Cass did not know about whatʼs going on there” and so on. u know what i mean ?? idk, but that was a bit standing out for me 😂 Despite the sweet writing, likable characters, and fun holiday vibes, I struggled to maintain interest in this book from start to finish. I couldn’t get invested in Charlie or Cass. Nothing negative, just neutral. The food descriptions for the bakery items and the TV show food sounded delicious. But the extensive catalog of dinner foods (and there were several dinner dates) bogged down the relationship scenes. the characters were well developed, (i grew particularly fond of Faye, she gives such warm grandmotherly vibes). iʼll forever wonder how things go on further between Charlie and Jake & Cass and Miguel 🥺

I only got the chance to dive into one all-out Christmas read this season (aside from the FABULOUS A Season of Second Chances, which I'd classify as a Fall-Winter book), so when I was able to grab this at prime holiday reading time from the library, I figured it was a sign. But as much as I wanted to love this twosome, all this book made me want to do was eat as MANY baked goods as humanly possible! In all seriousness, this book basically revolves around food, so if you love watching shows about baking like the Great British Bake-Off, Cupcake Wars, Cake Boss, etc., I'd have to think you'll be swooning

In an attempt to get over their respective broken hearts, they decide to go on a house-swap vacation - Iris spending Christmas at Amanda's mansion in L.A. and Amanda at Iris' quaint cottage in Suffolk. The condition - No men. According to the UPtv synopsis, “Life-long best friends Sarah, Cat and Riley reunite in Sarah’s childhood home to cook up some Christmas magic and save the holidays for their families. With each friend at a different crossroad, they will all have to come together to rediscover the Christmas magic that can only happen in the house on Holly Lane.” Watch UPtv’s The Picture Of Christmas a b c Brevet, Brad (December 5, 2006). "Chatting The Holiday With Nancy Meyers". RopeOfSilicon.com. Archived from the original on January 7, 2009 . Retrieved December 3, 2010.One of my favourite parts of the book, both couples were so cute, particularly Cass and Michael. Just like with everything else I wish we got to see more of the development, but what we did get to see was SO CUTE! A feel-good, holiday-themed romantic comedy about identical twins who switch lives in the days leading up to Christmas--perfect for fans of Christina Lauren's In a Holidaze and Josie Silver's One Day in December.

the bakery in Starlight Peak ?? are u kidding me, i wanna work there so bad and taste every damn sweet thing that was made there, the goodies that were mentioned in the book were legit SO mouth watering 😩 Charlie works on a baking show called Sweet and Salty. She gets injured due to a mishap on set and gets a concussion. She has to rest for a week which simply will not do. She calls her Twin Cass. Now I’ll read anything, but romance is most certainly my least read genre. I average at about one a year and usually I read it in December. I just love a little Christmas romance Especially conclusion warmed my heart. I don’t know how many times I sighed or find myself holding my hurting cheeks because I smiled so much and tested my cheeks flexibility! Charlie opened her eyes slowly. Someone was crying, but she couldn't figure out who it was because she couldn't make her eyes focus. She also had the worst headache of her life, and felt nauseated and fuzzy all over. She tried to lift her arm to her head, and then realized she was on the floor. Someone was holding her other hand-the same person who was crying, it seemed. There were a lot of voices adding to the confusion. Charlie let her eyes close, wishing everyone would just stop talking. The Holiday (2006)". Rotten Tomatoes. Fandango. Charlie's high ponytail had been loosened and some wavy dark blond strands were in her eyes. She tried to brush them away, but the medic told her to stay still.
