You are probably wondering where Vibrams come into this… well, after wearing the FS-Ts for almost a week, I decided to check out Vibrams because I want something I can be comfortable in all day at work.

I have some foot issues to go along with being overweight and after wearing the FS-Ts for a couple of days with no foot issues, I tried to go back to my normal shoes and the issues came back and seemed greatly exaggerated. I highly recommend the specialized socks such as Injinji socks be worn with the Skele-Toes, for any distance and especially longer runs. The soles of VFFs are very thin and “razor siped”, meaning traction comes from the tiny cuts in the rubber to grab the ground. If your foot slips onto the side, you run the risk of potential doing your body some damage, especially on the fiberglass slides. My only gripes about using VFFs for disc golf is the tendency for tall grass around here (with it's sticky, sappy seeds) to get stuck in between the toes and that VFFs offer too good of a grip in the heel, so I'm afraid of getting stuck and really messing up my knee on drives. Skeletoes have stiffer, thicker, more traditional soles, with a traction pattern along the bottom in rubber. However, in the Skeletoes I was able to keep pace, had better traction, and felt the trail under my feet, which both felt nice and kept me from biting it on a root or rock. I want to know how many Vibram sales they have taken from people like the ones who are continualy approaching me saying things like, “My son/daughter/wife/I tried a pair on at Kohls/Dick’s/JCP and don’t understand why you like them.

Like high-tech socks, the tough yet soft and ultra-comfortable fitted design is ideally suited for casual outdoor activities like biking, boating, swimming, and walking. I liked the feel of the skeletoes and VFF but like people have said in tall grass with seed pods they act just like a combine at harvest time.
