Plus, the author keeps describing her hands as tiny. Ugh. I don’t need a grown woman with tiny hands. Especially since he’s 6’7”. Why do authors do this!? It’s not good to constantly have giant men and tiny women. Most of your readers aren’t tiny.

Castle calls for Kenji, Adam, and Juliette during the night. He tells them the Supreme Commander, Warner’s father is in the Sector. He also tells them Juliette’s four new friends have been taken hostage. They have received a communication that if Juliette goes to a certain place at a certain time they will be released. Kenji and Adam will go with her but remain hidden. Other Omega Point soldiers will be ranged further out. Juliette has run off base into an unregulated area. In a fury of rage and betrayal, she destroys a school bus, accidentally projecting her powers. Nazeera appears. Nazeera can fly. i think the best line to describe this book is that juliette is dealing with "the frustration of having so much power, so much power and feeling so utterly, completely powerless" (420-421). Once you realize that, NOTHING juliette does comes off as whiney. In the morning, Juliette is much better but thinks the sun is very bright when it is actually snowing. One side effect of this is that throughout the book there are crossed out lines, as if Juliette is writing in a journal and crosses out things she initially wrote, but changed her mind. Next day, Haider, Nazeera, and Warner join Juliette and Kenji on their walkabout. Haider says that he and Nazeera will attend the North American Continental Symposium which is in two days. He asks if Juliette will attend as Anderson never did. Warner tries to cover for Juliette’s ignorance, but Haider explains that it is meeting of all the Sector leaders in that continent. Juliette says she will be attending. Sara and Sonya can’t touch Juliette to heal her but Warner channels their powers and she is healed.After being remonstrated by Castle for not getting information that would help find Winston and Brendan, Juliette hurries to question Warner again. She asks him about his tattoo and he shows her another low on his abdomen that says, HELL IS EMPTY AND ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE.

It was difficult to annotate because there's a new POV and new characters who i love a lot, so i definitely had a field day putting hearts in the margins. Also I love juliette ferrars so much. SO MUCH. It is 16 days since Juliette killed Anderson and declared herself Supreme Commander of North America. Warner is still largely running Sector 45 with the help of his grandfather, Delalieu. He is also trying to get to know Juliette’s friends. Castle is strategizing, and on his advice, Juliette has invited the Supreme Commanders of the other landmasses to a conference. Only Eurasia has accepted. Juliette agrees to attend a meeting with all of the leaders, which is called the North American Continental Symposium. Haider and Nazeera also plan to go. The same can be said of Find Me. It contains both Shadow Me and Reveal Me (also listed separately above), the two later novellas. Is Shatter Me Spicy?
It was so interesting to see how Juliette, a 17 year old, would handle all the power suddenly at her exposure, as she is the new head of Sector 45. Meanwhile, Warner struggles with the death of his father. Feeling ashamed of his grief for the tyrannical monster, he hides it from Juliette, which causes some tension between them. To his surprise, Adam reaches out, and the two bond over their complicated grief and the abuse they both suffered from their father.
