There was PC (Pretty Cool) Popple, Party Popple, Pancake Popple, Puzzle Popple as you can see alliteration was a big thing for them! All the popples were differently coloured. For example Puzzle popple was a medium-sized male of the “species” with orange fur, green hair, and blue and red ears

Cheerleader Popples

PC (Pretty Cool): Large blue Popple, who serves as the co-leader of the bunch along with Party. Although he loves to have fun, he never lets things get too out of hand and is probably the most sensible member of the group. He also has a magic finger snap that can trigger all sorts of neat surprises. PC appeared in 40 episodes. The Popples are pretending to be detectives, and things were very wonky here, but it was sure fun, until Mike and Penny returned. It would switch into ball mode from a pouch that could be inverted, so the character rolled into the pouch and Voila! There’s your ball. The name Popple was given because it was based on the “popping” noise that would be made when they unfold themselves from the ball. Also, a “popping” noise would be made when pulling something from their pouches.

When Billy gets his mouse costume for the school play dirty, he and the Popples head to the laundrette, where the Popples cause a very big flood. Bibsy: One of the Baby Popples. Bibsy is white and wears a purple and white bib, booties and bonnet with a star pattern. He was featured in 14 episodes. Billy and Bonnie are visiting the movie studios in Hollywood. Meanwhile, the Popples tag along and decide to make their own movie.

FYI this wasn’t happening with the toys, it’s from their mythology just so we’re clear. If your Popple made those sounds, we have some real problems. A line extension brought about Pufflings, which looked like little Popple pets (they were basically a ball of fluff with a face and tiny paws and tail coming out, and could flip inside out to look a bit like a sea anemone) and carried riddles and jokes on tags inside them. There were 6 different colors of Pufflings: Red, yellow, sky blue, purple, white and magenta. Pretty Bit: Small purple Popple who almost always speaks in rhyme. She is more shy than most of the Popples, but is still very loyal to her friends. She enjoys poetry and is also an expert on manners and etiquette. Pretty Bit appeared in 11 episodes. SPORTS POPPLES- I definitely remember these and they were a blatant attempt to crossover and get more of the boy market. These were sports Popples that turned into balls and you had: Puffball is an 11" female Popple with white fur, yellow hair, orange cheeks and contrasting blue and magenta ears.
