How to use a TENS machine
If you do prefer a bigger screen then the TechCare Touch X could be a better option, though you’ll of course compromise on lots of features (including the wireless capabilities). While TENS and EMS apply electrical currents in the body, TENS aims to relieve pain. EMS contracts the muscles and is suitable for rehabilitation and strength performance. Does TENS hurt? You get 18 different modes to experiment with, plus customizable programs. The screen also shows you where to place the pads to make it even more convenient. It’s ideal when you’ve found a program you like and use most of the time. With most units you have to cycle through the programs and set the timer again each time you use it, even if you want the exact same settings as your previous session.
TENS machines are available for different budgets and conditions, such as foot pain, period pain, and nerve pain. After the session is complete the unit automatically switches itself off to preserve (that splendid) battery. They all work the same way, sending low voltage electrical impulses to the body, which then stimulate the nerves.
