Years later, when I blind bought the scent, I was able to immediately connect the dots to where I had first smelt it. I kept waiting for the fruit to mellow with the Drydown, but the fruit and sweetness persist right through the Drydown.This fragrance is much more elegant than I expected it to be from the reviews, which made it sound like a gussied-up body spray. I was guided by suggestions from the forum after asking about perfumes with the sweetness and tartness of cooked dark plums. It's at the same time fresh and heavy, but very interesting and makes people lift their heads from their phones and sniff the air with delight. I can’t say I smelled any florals yet, the vanilla was prominent in the dry down making it smooth and creamy.
It's not the most sophisticated perfume out there, but this is such a distinctive scent that I crave occassionally and it's a compliment getter too. It's a complex but harmonious scent, initially fruit forward, the Raspberry and Plum stand out to me, but it settles into the mesmerising Vanilla/amber/light musk and instant mood booster! Floral notes are overwhelmed by fruit notes, leaving a vague scent similar to a mixed floral bouquet. Side note: If BBW Sun Ripened Raspberry and sweet hairspray linked up - it's this (again - in the best way possible).As there is a higher oil content to make them last longer, with ALL perfumes, not just The Essence Vaults's perfumes, we do recommend that you take care when applying on clothes, and of course you do so at your own risk. I get dark raspberry and cherry notes at first with a sweet candy vibe, the amber and musk are there but you really have to look for it, kind of a top heavy scent. So far I have liked both of the Britney Spears Fantasy flankers, and I don't think I have ever consciously smelled the original! If you love to be in a mystical world of power then look no further My Midnight Poison is the fragrance for you. Reach a new level of enlightenment, one only accessible to those who have self-actualized beyond the bondage of self-consciousness.
I got a bit sick of it at the end of the day but I also applied too much, so I won't do that next time.Sillage is intense, and longevity is good - this leaves a delicious fruity trail on any fabric it touches, and it’s instantly recognisable, if you’re familiar with it to begin with. Its like a midnight with beautiful, moderate atmosphere and you’re in a semi-isolated place enveloped in romance and poisonous seduction of a hypnotic nature and the smell of enchanting charm emanating from that bottle that resembles the colour of the moonlit night.
It smells like L'Oreal kids shampoo, the one from the 2000's, or L'Oreal kids detangling hair spray. I have yet to find a scent that reminds me of this (but to be fair I haven’t felt the need to look for a replacement, I’ll definitely repurchase this when my bottle runs out). On my initial spray on the skin, I get a sour cherry and raspberry soda, then will dry down to a softer sour cherry, juicy and deep floral - which I assume is coming from that plum note!I wore it for 1-2 months straight and then stopped because I had already used more than half of the 50ml bottle and decided to wait to reuse again when I got a backup because I do not want to run out of it, which says a lot of how much I love this.
