About this deal

PERFECT FOR A RANGE OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY: The VL150 is a powerful solution for Newborn, Still Life, Portrait, Video, Interviews, youtube videos, Green Screen and professional cinematographers. The Godox UL series has less options to choose between at the moment compared to the VL series and the SL series. The options for this particular series are the Godox UL-60 LED Light and Godox UL-150 LED Light.

For some videographers, fan noise may not be an issue. But those who shoot or broadcast live videos really want the fan noise to be as low as possible. Compared to Godox SL150W II, the VL150 is much quieter. Do note that there is an option in the SL150W II to turn the fan off to go completely silent, but that also decreases the maximum light output. If noise is an issue for you, definitely go with Godox VL150. It’s quite silent and the fan in this light only turns on after a significant amount of time. The VL150II includes a controller box, with an LCD screen, and an intuitive control dial interface. The Controller box enables you to control the brightness of the light steplessly, between 100%, and down to 0% brightness. The VL150II can be either powered via a mains AC power outlet or via V-Mount batteries (available separately), when shooting in locations where access to mains power isn’t available. This enables your creative ideas to be realised with virtually no limitations when it comes to location. For less than the cost of the UL 150 you could buy an SL200 II which is very quiet at full power and even quieter when you reduce the power. Review here . Godox VL150’s V-Mount battery plate in the control panel lets you use a battery to power the light if you have to shoot outdoor or places where you might be worried about a dedicated power supply. However, keep in mind that V-Mount batteries are expensive and you might want to give in some extra money to use that feature. The GODOX VL150II COB LED Video Light is a powerful, yet economical solution for both the hobbyist and the serious photographer, videographer, or cinematographer. Ideal for: Filmmaking, Marketing and advertising, Video Interviews, Green screen video, as well as portrait and Still-life Photography. All three lighting units can be powered either using the included mains power cable or using a V-Mount battery (Sold Separately) with the built-in V-Mount battery plates for use on both studio and location shoots. The entire VL series lighting units come with Bowens S-Type mount as standard to allow these to be used with a selection of different light modifiers to offer ample light control.

Aputure LS C120D II has a higher 180 W rating compared to the 150 W of Godox VL 150. Both models share the same operating current(2A) and power supply rating, AC100~240V 50/60Hz. In addition, both models use the same battery plate 1 x V-Mount. In terms of connectivity, Aputure LS C120D II features a 5-pin XLR whereas the Godox VL150 is equipped with a 4-pin XLR power input connector. Color Temperature The Godox VLII Series can deliver a brightness of up to 76,000 Lux at 1m with the standard reflector (6,100 lux bare bulb). This makes the Godox VLII series powerful workhorses for cinematography and video production. Our new price match policy guarantees you the same price as other retailers so you’re alway getting the best deal possible...

BOWENS S-TYPE MOUNT: The VL150 comes with a Bowens S-Type mount which makes it compatible with a large range of soft boxes and modifiers. This is a great addition to your kit if you are already using Bowens modifiers. In this post, we’ll be comparing two famous LEDs in the market: Aputure LS C120D II vs Godox VL150. Aputure LS C120D II is a 180W COB LED model from the Aputure Light Storm lineup and an upgrade to the first generation C120D LED. Godox VL150, on the other hand, is a 150W COB LED from the Godox VL series that comes at a much affordable price than the LS C120D II. Let’s see how they both compare and if one offers a better value for money than the other. Price Comparison | Aputure LS C120D II vs Godox VL150 LED Model Aputure LS C120D II boasts a persistent 5500K color temperature whereas the Godox VL150 offers a range of 5600K ± 200K temperature. In addition, the cooler Aputure LS C120D II also features a higher TLCI (≥97) than the VL150 (≈95). However, both models offer a CRI rating of 96. The LED chips used are the latest in High-Intensity Integrated LED technology, making these lighting units suitable for a selection of different Videography fields such as professional broadcast use, cinematography, and video interviews. Each of the lights offers a High CRI (Colour-Rendering Index) rating of ≥96 and a TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) of ≥95 to make sure the colours in your subject are captured professionally and clearly. We here at PiXAPRO are pleased to be able to offer a range of different Godox LED lighting to our customers, but there are a few different types of lighting available to choose between. The most common options are the VL Series, SL Series and UL Series of LED Lighting. Here is a breakdown comparing each light currently available in each series. However they have no good solutions for the ML lights. They have a nice set of Godox mount softboxes though they could do with a Light Dome equivalent and possibly a Lantern. They need a Godox mount Fresnel if they want the light to compete properly with the Forza 60. Arguably they should have something to compete with the Forza 60 projection attachment but the S30/S60 has that function very well covered.

You are right. Godox needs their own version. But, as a consumer, I have no problem mixing mfr's. equipment. Brand X lights with brand Y modifiers.

Both Godox VL150 and SL150W II are daylight corrected to 5600K(± 200K). In terms of color accuracy, both of them carry a high CRI rating of 95. However, a slight difference arises when it comes to TLCI measurement. Godox SL150W II boasts a slightly higher TLCI value of 97 vs 95 that VL150 supports. The VLII Series all use the ever-popular Bowens S-Type accessory mount, which makes it compatible with a wide range of modifiers such as Softboxes, Fresnel Lenses, spotlight attachments, snoots diffuser-balls plus much more. The VLII series features an ultra-quiet cooling fan, rated at less than 30 dB. This makes them suitable for use in sound-sensitive filming situations such as filming interviews, Can be Powered Anywhere
