About this deal

Haf and I aren’t the same person but that ‘oh well why not’ attitude she has definitely comes from a part of me. It is such a refreshing story, where the forbidden relationship was not because of any closeted characters.

The premise of fake dating someone and attending their family Christmas is completely out there and I loved it. Definitely not now because in my mid-30s I’m very happy with my own company and my dog and my charcuterie boards and stash of video games, but maybe in my early 20s when I was a chaos monster with nothing better to do and no money? Kit has hypermobile Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome and while it clearly impacts who she is, it’s not all she is. It’s a kind of instinctual primal reaction that she wants to kick him in the back of the knees and run away. A lot of contemporary romances get described as rom-coms, and in a lot of cases this is just lies, spouted by the publishers to get more people to pick up the books. A thoroughly modern love story filled with joy, inappropriate Christmas jumpers and a daring reindeer rescue. Make You Mine This Christmas follows Haf, a fat ecologist who is battling burnout due to an awful job. But I think her motivation isn’t just altruistic an about helping Christopher save face, as it allows her to run away from the problems in her own life which I think is very relatable!Christopher is so sweet, and Kit is the perfect wannabe ice queen who can’t help but fall for the chaotic bisexual cinnamon bun. They are the author of the queer holiday rom-com Make You Mine This Christmas (2022) from Hodder Books, the summer romance Hits Different co-written with Tasha Ghouri (2024) from Hot Key Books, and Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend (2023) from Knights Of. Laugh out loud funny, clever dialogue, and a magnificent performance by Helen Keeley- who is now one of my favorite narrators. The next day the news is out that Christopher has a girlfriend and the two cook up a ridiculous scheme for Haf to come back

Haf’s love of Paddington Bear is brilliant and her watching the film with Christopher is a nice touch. What follows is a glorious mash-up of the plots of Imagine Me and You and While You Were Sleeping (undeniably two of the best films EVER made). And it gave me all those snow-touched, twinkly-light, Christmas-music in the background vibes of an over the top holiday movie.

in a refreshing change, each character has their own identity beyond this but the importance of the range of inclusivity is never lessened.Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. This book is everything you wish Happiest Season had been, with a fake dating scheme thrown in the mix. Even if you're not LGBTQIA+ I feel this book could easily be read by others outside of the community, and that is probably as good an endorsement I can make about it. was not a fun existence for my eyes, as I desperately clutched my tablet, trying to continue reading that last 12% of the book.
