There has been a lot of highs and lows during this period; by the sounds of this live album another high period has arrived.

We Are Looking In On Yousuperbly captures highlights from Hawkwind’s illustrious canon, including Levitation, Spirit Of The Age, Hurry On Sundown, Right To Decideand Space Is Deep,all sitting seamlessly alongside current classics such as Unsomnia, Cave Of Phantom Dreamsand It’s Only A Dreamfrom 2021’s acclaimed studio album Somnia.An acoustic opens their old standard Hurry On Sundown which is taken from Hawkfest – an event that as you might imagine covers all things Hawkwind – unusually featuring extra violin from Athene Roberts – normally to be found in the 3 Daft Monkeys. The combination of Star Explorer and Born To Go belt along furiously, the Heavy Metal Hawkwind stuffed down the throat and we move frm from the swirling and intense to to vaguely bizarre as we get the the Hawkind lounge jazz band setting up a cool groove (complete with assorted sound effects) before a the declaration of “ never again!”

We are proud to announce the vinyl edition of Hawkwind’s stunning new live album We Are Looking In On You. They also weren’t just a bunch of stoned idealistic dreamers pursuing the age of Aquarius long after it’d disappeared from view, they were “non musicians, barbarians with electronics, unafraid to go wherever the technology took them,” which inadvertently helped create the Acid House scene in the 80’s. Live favourite Magnu is classic Hawkwind, from their majestic early Warrior on the Edge of Time record, based on Shelley’s poem Hymn of Apollo, with synths going off all over the place, and there’s a massive guitar solo in the middle. Cavern of Phantom Dreams is a lovely slice of later Hawkwind from their 2021 album Somnia, and is all doomy vocals and trippy synths.
