About this deal

The bright and uniform zone takes up most of the space, with the left, right, and top edge of the panel being the darkest. All parts of the Dell P3222QE monitor are connected to each other with minimal gaps. The case does not lend itself to twisting, but it crunches and creaks a little when compressed and when simply moving the model from place to place. The painting of the elements is uniform, the processing of the edges of the parts is not satisfactory. The gaps between them are minimal and uniform along the entire length of the joints.

The video cable may cause dim or discolored video,so try reseating the cable and swapping with a known good part. The control system is convenient, does not require getting used to, and is much more practical than the small and tight keys used in many other models of the brand. IDC Whitepaper: “Optimizing Performance with Frequent Server Replacements for Enterprises” commissioned by Dell Technologies and Intel, March 2021. Results are based on interviews with 18 IT practitioners and decision makers at midsize and large enterprises and a web survey of 707 IT practitioners and decision makers at midsize and larger enterprises using Dell Technologies server solutions across 7 industries. The monitor turned on with any familiar key combination (for this series of displays), but nothing new appeared on the screen.

I measured the P3222QE’s brightness, contrast ratio, and color accuracy using Portrait Displays' Calman 5 color calibration software, a Klein K10-A colorimeter, and a Murideo Six-G signal generator. It’s not the largest display we’ve seen in recent times, but you do have to remember that the Dell P3222QE is still a 32-inch monitor. Its width can interfere with bookshelf speakers if you have some so some rearrangement might be necessary. It doesn’t weigh a lot at slightly under 12 pounds, so those with glass desks shouldn’t worry if this is an upsized variant. CompleteCover:CompleteCover service is available for personal computers, Axim PDAs, Dell branded projectors and LCD TV. CompleteCover excludes theft, loss, and damage due to fire, intentional damage, acts of God or natural disasters, animals, pets or pests. Customer may be required to return unit to Dell.

At standard settings, the measured gamma curves are significantly below the reference in the range of 30-90%, which leads to an increase in the contrast of the image on the screen. At the same time, the spread between the RGB channels is small, which ensures sufficiently high stability of shades of gray, lying in the DeltaE<3 zone in a relatively dense group. The photo above shows a white field with minimal corrections in a graphical editor to more visually represent what is happening on the screen in terms of bright field uniformity. In addition to darkening at the edges, some differences in color shade are also visible.Dubbelklik op het bureaublad op het nieuwe pictogram met het label DELL_P3222QE-MONITOR_A00-00_DRVR_YPYJ5.exe The results are as follows: you should forget about additional factory DH modes (unless, of course, you have very specific lighting or a special passion for a “warm” or “cold” picture) and prefer the Standard mode, in which the level of DH stability is high, and DeltaE deviations are the accuracy of the white settings is minimal. If it is possible to adjust the RGB in an optimal way using the appropriate measuring devices, then this should be done first of all, and the Custom mode will help you with this (and only it). Contrast stability and brightness range The model belongs to the “frameless design”, so you will not see the protruding frame. However, as usual, the inner frame of the matrix itself has not gone away, and even in the new panel, they remain at an average level. From a design standpoint, the P3222QE offers the already well-known Dell approach from other brand models we’ve tested over the past couple of years, and from an ergonomics point of view, it will give you a full range of features that many competitors will envy. As a result, our Dell P3222QE review unit gets the maximum rating for the quality of materials and assembly, which is not surprising for a line that copies the level of performance of the top UltraSharp “U” to the maximum.

All we know is that it’s a 4K IPS solution with a slightly increased color gamut and otherwise fairly standard brightness, contrast, viewing angles, and response times. That might be all you need (at least 125%), given the 140 PPI scaling in the system, but some very fast-paced consumers will be able to do without it at all.The final results of the color gamut compliance with standardized spaces (the second digit is the color volume) are as follows: So, without further ado, let’s throw our Datacolor Spyder X Elite onto the P3222QE and see how it fares. Niels Broekhuijsen/Digital Trends The crystalline effect practically does not manifest itself, regardless of the viewing angle. The picture on the screen does not cause discomfort and is completely free from the Cross-Hatching effect (intersecting thin diagonal lines). The Dell P3222QE has a decent response time even if it wasn’t designed for gaming and its limited to 60Hz. You have to set its overdrive to its Fast setting to get this, although there will still be some persistence in fast-paced scenes. Maxing out the overdrive will not help since it will induce overshoot which is worse than the minor smudges in the first place.

Take advantage of the Dell Display Manager software as it does add more functionalities for productivity to the Dell P3222QE USB-C Hub. It gives you access to a lot of things, from basics like choosing screen presets and adjusting brightness and contrast to smarter features like Easy Arrange, which tells the monitor to set snap to grids for a more organized desktop, and Input Manager, which lets you name your ports and set a few hotkeys for on-the-fly input switching. We have to say, though, that Input Manager would have been more appealing if it weren’t for that whole issue with the USB hub being tied to the USB-C port. The appearance of Dell monitors rarely undergoes significant changes, and the P3222QE is no exception because its design is as close as possible to representatives of ultra-wide solutions from the top “U” line, which has not changed much in recent years. With the P3222QE, the handwriting of Dell designers is easy to read. It is simply impossible to confuse it with models of other companies. It is missing some things that would have made it more flexible, though, like a wider color gamut for video use and a KVM feature. When your office is your living room, you need devices that can be used for both work and play, and while the P3223QE is great for work, it isn’t so suited to play. Dell P3223QE 32-inch 4K Monitor review: also consider All things considered, the P3222QE actually puts up a good performance. Its gamut is indeed limited to 99% of the sRGB space, which will leave lovers of wide-gamut panels wanting, but its color space is easy on the eyes and, qualitatively, this is a very good sRGB panel. Gamma performance is perfect out of the box nailed at 2.2 with just an 0.01 deviation, and color accuracy is tested at a Delta-E (difference from real) of 1.67. This is good enough for photo editing work, which the P3222QE is great for at its large size and high resolution.
