The LEGO movie is a good old power struggle of good and bad where the good side are looking for the special one, to fulfil the prophecy to overthrow the evil empire. However, he’s quickly swept up in a hilarious and crazy plot that sees the nobody being forced to break away from his narrow lifestyle and develop new skills as the Lego saviour, The Special.

The film received positive reviews from fans and critics and, after the DVD release, a sequel was set to star Clutch as the hero again.There, he teams up with Rex Dangervest (Pratt) and heads to the Systar System to confront Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi (Tiffany Haddish) and rescue his friends. It brought a new stop-motion adventure to the big screen back in February 2014 and for fans or anyone that missed it at the cinema the home entertainment release will be one to look out for.

The script allows sufficient room for the multiplicity of characters to work in a cohesive yet entertaining fashion, providing a versatile experience for the audience. There are plenty of moments where adults can revel in the film’s comedic aptitude and the smart sense of parody. Unless you’ve got a giant flat screen with the latest 3D TV capabilities built into it, the down-scaled replay struggles to live up to the impressive visual style of the movie.
