About this deal

The silver plated copper has a Teflon coating around the whole cable while the copper is litz so each strand has its own enamel coating with a polyester filament holding them together, the Teflon coating on the silver plated copper is better for audio but does make it slightly more rigid, while the litz wire is a bit more flexible. after a pad swap (leather/hybrid/suede materials) turn into a very warm, v-shaped can, with great detail. Also maybe check out the focal elex and elear, aren’t really like a sony but the bass and mids impact are ludicrous, recommended.

As we mentioned before, this model of Sony headphones don’t have the same strength and durability in terms of the materials used that we’ve seen with other Sony headphones. I personally use it for watching YouTube videos and taking online classes, or just any multimedia purposes in general. All our cables are soldered using lead-free silver solder (4% silver) to ensure the best quality joins for both signal and strength. Taking the rise from 2kHz into account, the lower-mids are relatively recessed hence one can expect that higher pitched vocals will have more of an edge over deeper ones. Recomiendo ampliamente estos audífonos, suenan súper bien con cualquier tipo de música, pero en especial destacan con rock alternativo, metal y electrónica. I have also tried it with both recordings in uncompressed 24 bit, 96khz WAV file form and 24 bit 44khz VST instruments (EastWest Hollywood Opus to be specific). Everyone has different ideas about bass, what some people describe as bass heavy, others may find bass light.

They’re not quite as clear as some of the highest-end headphones at CES but, for the money, they look to be an ideal introduction to Sony’s ever-expanding world of hi-res audio. the ultra heavy duty, and heavy weighted wire that inevitably loosens its connectivity at the point directly inside the headphone. Meanwhile, that low impedance of just 16 ohms will pair well with any low output device, from a phone or laptop to a portable high-res music player. In terms of the sound quality of the two headphones, they both aren’t noise canceling headphones so if you’re looking for Sony Noise Canceling headphones, we’ve already mentioned that the MDR headphones are not what you’re looking for. Finally, sound pressure is a fairly standard 98 decibels – more than capable of adequate volume in normal listening situations. I came from the Audio-Technica MSR7 which broke down and was hoping for something with deeper bass but the same level of detail and was quite happy with the 1AM2 (though its V-shaped tuning is perhaps more comparable with the ATH-M50x). Before the 1AM2 the MDR-100AAP was the first real deviation for Sony with a brighter treble and a W-shaped signature (lower mids having a peak), though I still found its treble a bit too rolled off for my liking (I was very much into Audio-Technica's house sound at the time). If that all sounds like an incoherent mess of jumbled words, all that means is the diaphragms have a certain solidity to them that reduce any resonance that detract from the quality of the sound.
