About this deal

The witch’s familiar gains resistance 1 against either cold or electricity. Each time the witch selects this reward, he increases his familiar’s resistance to one of those energy types by 1 (to a maximum of 10 for any one energy type). A character can take more than one archetype and garner additional alternate class features, but none of the alternate class features can replace or alter the same class feature from the core class as another alternate class feature. For example, a paladin could not be both a hospitaler and an undead scourge since they both modify the smite evil class feature and both replace the aura of justice class feature. A paladin could, however, be both an undead scourge and a warrior of the holy light, since none of their new class features replace the same core class feature.

The Witch uses their Intelligence score to determine their bonus spell slots and spell save DCs. (The Stigmatized Witch archetype uses Charisma instead) Add +5 feet to the witch’s familiar’s darkvision (to a maximum of +30 feet). If the familiar does not have darkvision, the familiar gains darkvision 5 feet. If the witch ever replaces her familiar, the new familiar gains this bonus to its darkvision distance. The most important tool for those who practice using hexes is the strength of visualization and concentration. Turning love into hate requires exhausting and difficult work, work that nevertheless involves great risks.The few times I've been scared while reading I usually just went to bed and covered up my head and was okay. Staying positive is a foundational piece of your protection from hexes. Then casting protection spells, performing protection rituals, chanting prayer for protection, and working with protection tools like talismans, amulets, and sigils might make the difference. The hex and the evil eye are still handed down in different magical traditions; witchcraft divides the hex in two ways: A witch must commune with her familiar each day to prepare her spells. Diseases, inhaled poisons, and noxious gaseous effects (such as stinking cloud) are negated in a 10-foot aura around the witch for a number of minutes equal to her level. This duration does not need to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-minute increments. Effects caused by spells whose level is more than half the witch’s class level are unaffected. Hexes are much stronger than jinxes. These spells will send negative energy towards your target (depending on your intention) but the hex won’t last super long. A witch can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. Her base daily spell allotment is given on Table: Witch. In addition, she receives bonus spells per day if she has a high Intelligence score (see Table: Ability Modifiers and Bonus Spells).
