Theme Stated:“They’re coming to get you, Barbara.” Johnny isn’t specific as to who the “they” are, perhaps the delusions of a paranoid mind. But we soon learn that her brother’s words have a self-fulfilling prophecy. And that’s the primal theme of this survival story—to not get eaten. “They’re coming,” Johnny continues. “Look there’s one of them now.” “They’re coming to get you, Baaarbaraaa!” Johnny’s famous last words. While I don't want to bring up logic here since it's clearly something of a gag manga, the art style is so serious and gritty and the conversations/actions are dramatic and "real" so that it clashes with the gag feeling and I can't help but think of it. It's ends up not being funny, just weird, which is a crying shame because this setting had a lot of potential to be something hilarious. Her fear mounting, Barbara heads upstairs. She discovers a corpse on the landing with its face chewed off as if by wild animals. Barbara’s horrifying discovery on the second floor. Night of the Living Cat is set in a world where a horrible virus is spreading at an alarming rate. This virus turns anyone infected by it into a cat in mere seconds. These cats then hunt down humans, causing the condition to spread even further. This is made worse as the cats can spread the virus merely by nuzzling and cuddling, making it very hard to defend yourself against the crafty felines once a horde finds and surrounds you. The story follows Kunagi, a young man who has it worse than most, as Kunagi has somehow developed amnesia. Due to this, he has no idea about his past, how he ended up in this strange world, or how he has survived for this long. Barbara’s teasing brother points to a lone, white-haired man (Bill Heinzman) in the cemetery, ambling toward them. Dead man walking Bill Heinzman is the first creep we meet.B Story: Barbara tells her story of how she got to the house and flies into hysterics. She wants to go out and find Johnny. Her love and concern for her brother, no matter how rotten he was in life, carries the theme, the “love story,” if you will. Helen’s unhappy that Harry boarded them in out of sight and out of mind when there’s a radio streaming fresh information upstairs. Ben finds a television set on the second floor, which sparks the cellar dwellers to surface. Judy is elected to stay with the ailing Karen as Helen meets the group above. Der Zeichenstil ist auch sehr eigen. Die Katzen sind sehr realistisch gezeichnet und gefallen mir sehr. Auch ihre Mimik und Gestik und ihr ganzes Verhalten wird sehr authentisch dargestellt. Weniger gefallen mir die Gesichter der Menschen. Die Männer gehen noch, aber die Frauen sehen merkwürdig aus. Aphmau calls Brendan to prove he's okay and all that comes from the other side is meowing! They then look at the window and see the cat that looks like Brendan on his phone. Now they are all convinced other then Kawaii~Chan, Then the cats burst through the window and everyone runs. Sadly, Kawaii~Chan gets infected with the virus..

Executing the Plan–As more of the dead horde crash into the house, Ben bars the cellar door with planks as the hungry ghouls pound on the other side with obsessive fervor. Due to the way it's written and displayed, I can't feel any care for the mc or his team, the most that can happen is that they turn into cats like everyone else, at this point it doesn't feel like a big deal especially since they all love cats so much, so why bother? In a zombie apocalypse setting, the things that makes you root for the protagonist is the threat of death and total extermination of the human race, but here it just doesn't matter. While ridiculous, it's not enough to be funny, especially not with how the settings clash.

High Tower Surprise–Ben’s problems are far from over—there’s no safety any place. Harry reanimates and starts to rise, missing one arm. The lone survivor is trapped with corpses everywhere!

Aphmau and Katelyn scream from the other room, they go to see it and they see the cats out the window. Aphmau of course wants to pet them but Katelyn warns against it. Laurance then points out a cat that looks like Brendan. The episode starts when most of the main cast go to Aphmau and Aaron's house to have a movie night, Aaron and Katelyn suggest a horror movie, Everyone but Kawaii~Chan and Aphmau agree to it. As he fortifies the windows and doors with boards and lumber he can scavenge around the house, Ben turns on the radio and learns that this is an epidemic of “mass homicide” that has seized the eastern third of the country. Ben learns that outside the farmhouse, and across most of the Eastern seaboard, Fun and Games are not on the menu (at least for the living).Execution of the New Plan–It’s morning and Ben awakens. He hears dogs barking, sirens, and shooting. Sheriff McClelland’s posse has shown up. He’s rescued.He climbs upstairs and looks out the window. Ben’s mistaken for a walking corpse and shot by an overeager vigilante. Sheriff McClelland storms the farmhouse hunting for walking dead. Set-Up: Barbara (Judith O’Dea) and Johnny (Russell Streiner) mustplace a wreath on the grave of their late father. As Barbara climbs out of the car, Johnny hears a strange transmission on the radio. At this point in the story, if he had stayed to listen, the course of events might have changed right there for the ill-fated pair. However, Johnny snaps off the radio and joins his sister. Johnny scares Barbara, who has had a fear of the cemetery since childhood—this is his transgression that will lead to monstrous things. Barbara and Johnny set to task to place the wreath.
