About this deal

You want big and you want sparkle and you want extravagance. Not in price, but in love and adoration. And right here, right now, I’m promising to spend the rest of my life giving you that. Say yes and I’ll make you feel loved and cherished and appreciated until my last breath. Say yes and I’ll help you paint the world pink. Say yes and we’ll forever be completely consumed by each other." A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons. And shipments that have mysteriously gone missing. Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams. Their whole relationship starts out as her getting revenge on her ex by getting with his boss which I loved that. And they both weren’t looking for anything serious but as soon as they go out on one date and they sleep together, those “nothing serious” lines get totally blurred. And that suddenness just didn’t work for me here. Her friends and sister are great too! They are so real with her. I loved Kat the most. Especially when she sees Damien for the first time💀 Last but not least - sex scenes. Some of them very spicy and hot, but as I mentioned before, Damien is domineering and dominant, and it could be really felt in those sex scenes. It could've been totally hot if it was written well, but...it was not. It really seemed more like Damien was her gym instructor and was talking her through cardio routine a lot of times: Now lift your arm! Spread your legs! Grab your tit! Bend the knee!

Oh wow, I did not expect to enjoy it this much especially the second half. It was a rollercoaster of emotions- anger in the beginning, joy in the middle, a mix of disappointment and anxiety in the last 20% and a sweet delicious ending in the last 5%. Country music’s golden boy Colton Wheeler felt the perfect harmony when he was with Gretchen Winthrop. But for her, it is “a love him and leave him” the situation. A year later, Colton struggles to push his music forward in a new direction. If it weren’t about to be the most magical time of year and the support of the Bromance Book Club, he’d be wallowing in self-pity. So she does what every girl does when she’s broken up with her: she calls her friends, gets drunk, dyes her hair, and formulates her plan for revenge. The universe supports her efforts and gives her the perfect match to prove to her ex that he made a huge mistake: his boss.Abbie Keller thought that Richard Bartholemew Benson the Third would be her forever. In their four years of dating, she never doubted that she wouldn’t end up with his grandmother’s engagement ring on her finger. Sure, she had to change a few things about herself to fit that mold, like dying her hair, dressing more conservatively, and finding golf enjoyable (honestly, the most difficult of the changes), but she was sure that at the end of it all, it would be worth it. We didn’t really see them outside of each other. Like I wanted to see more of Damien’s day as a lawyer kind of thing. And we get a brief glimpse of that in the end but not anything substantial.

That should be a good thing. Eggnog and Christmas carols. Mistletoe and family. Except my dad broke his leg hanging the family wreath. My brothers are at war over taking proper care of Dad. Oh, and I just found out our family business, the Kringle Inn is failing! Damien is a dream man. He falls for Abbie on their first date. He had no intentions to, just wanted some fun but he starts calling her his soulmate almost immediately 🥺 I love him. I want him. I need him.Christmas” - 50 - while mentioned half a hundred times, this book was very much not holiday vibes. She just wanted to go to a Christmas party that happened at the end of the book. Abbie starts dating the founding partner of Richard’s law firm, Damien Martinez, with one thing in mind: convincing him to invite her to the huge annual Christmas party as his date.
