About this deal

Mix-and-Match Critters: Jeff is part squid, part plug, part mousetrap, part something or other. She can also replace missing limbs with anything she finds nearby; at her highest point, she was part squid, part plug, part horse, part piano, part crocodile with a chaingun in its mouth, part clown puppet holding a buzzsaw, and part whatever the hell the rest of her is. It's not so much a glitch in his programming as much as it is awareness that he will self-destruct if his target dies. He's not the only one, either; half of the hospital patients on life support were brought there by Scuds. Rob Schrab has stated that he currently has no plans for further issues of Scud Spin-offs – Scud: Tales from the Vending Machine, and The Drywall & Oswald Show. Can be utilised in conjunction with the impossibly cool Drywall, featuring an extra-dimenisional (sic) storage facility.

Have Gun Game, Will Travel: Scud the Disposable Assassin". GamePro. No.101. IDG. February 1997. pp.40–41. This became one of my favorite comic books when I was first getting into the medium....then I kind of forgot about it.

Tony Tastey- Scud's first client as a freelancer, who eventually becomes the leader of the Cortese family cyborg mafia, which stars in the spin-off La Cosa Nostroid series. Everything that ever comes out of Jeff's mouth. (Mouths. Both of which are located at her knees.) The end of each issue where she appears lists the movies she quoted in that issue. Superior Species: Parodied in the form of "Superior Alien Military" military-industrial products and corporation. Because of this and with Schrab producing, directing and writing The Sarah Silverman Program for Comedy Central, the Complete Scud Book was not out by the 2007 Comic Con but it was out in time for the 2008 Comic Con. Woah! It's fun to see what young Schrab and Harmon can do as writers together. Though some of the jokes can be a little not-PC for some modern audiences, I for one find myself smiling when I think about how much the two have grown from what I hear in their podcast. Is....is it weird that I am proud of two grown men older than me? Hell, I don't care. There's some really fun exploration of concepts of identity and having Benjamin Franklin as this dinosaur-zombie-creating Frankenstein character makes me laugh Every Time.

Double Standard Rape: Female on Male: Sussudio gets no flak for tying Scud to a bed and raping him (inasmuch as a robot without genitals can be raped). Then again, a lot of crimes are committed in this world without consequences. Rob Schrab has stated that he currently has no plans for further issues of Scud Spin-offs – Scud: Tales from the Vending Machine and The Drywall & Oswald Show.Rob Schrab. "SCUD THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN #21". Archived from the original on 2007-02-04 . Retrieved 2007-02-06. Many people have commented on some of the amateurish panels in the book's beginning, but I found myself cherishing them. Rob's tenacity and willingness to just go for something as daunting as making a comic is not only inspiring to me, but makes me feel capable, like I can try at the thing I have dreamed of for years and push forward to be brave enough to make something new. I admire him so much for that. Now, I do not want to sound pretentious, but Scud is an excellent piece of literature. This whole comic series, despite being science fiction parody, touches on many different themes. Scud is a the ultimate nobody. He is literally disposable, one of many other, just like him, meant for one other purpose and nothing beyond that. Yet, against all odds, and even exact copies of himself and more advanced later models, he wins time and time again. He is the ultimate triumph over his own station in life. He is an anti-hero, his only goal is to make enough money to keep his target alive so he won't die. Yet, despite himself, he always keeps doing the right thing in the situations he gets himself into. Exceptional beyond expectations, and moral and good in the face of all opposition, Scud represents the triumph of the everyman against insurmountable obstacles to the contrary. Scud the Disposable Assassin was created by Rob Schrab before his fellow college classmate at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design Dan Harmon joined the comic creator on the series, receiving his first writing credit on the series in the fourth issue. Scud the Disposable Assassin follows the adventures of a robot assassin whose purpose is to carry out assassinations and then self-destruct immediately after the job is done. However, the main character of the series is a different kind of Scud, one who rejects the idea that they are forced to die after carrying out assassinations. So, this Scud doesn’t ever kill its target, ensuring its own continued existence and acting more as a likable protagonist that fans can root for. The issue begins in an office at Marvin's Manikans, where lowly employee Hershel Roundhead is having a meeting with his boss, Mr. Spidergod, regarding a "monster" that's been eating the employees. Mr. Spidergod tells Hershel that if he doesn't get someone to "take care of it", he would send Hershel down to deal with it. We then find Hershel outside on the street, standing in front of a vending machine simply labeled SCUD. He inserts three "Franks", presses a button and out steps Scud, the Disposable Assassin. Hershel gives Scud a disk containing all of the information he will need to complete "the job" on it, and Scud heads off to the Marvin's Manikans building to take out his target.
